Whenever you walk into a restaurant near a world famous monument, alarms bells usually start ringing and a neon lit "tourist trap" sign goes off in my head. Any worries you may have immediately melt away at this institution famous for its dining room that overlooks the Duomo. Make sure you reserve a table in that specific room lest you... More

We went to Giacomo for a business dinner with my boss and suppliers and i am so happy we chose Giacomo because we all enjoyed the good food, the amazing view of the Duomo di Milano and the outside searing area. The atmosphere is joyous, chic and relaxing. Only negative part was the service, extremely slow and not well organized,... More

We enjoyed lunch on a Sunday at this very expensive restaurant with the most incredible view of the Duomo. The entrance is through a museum and up a spiral walkway in an old building from where Mussolini used to make speeches on the balcony. The front room overlooks the Piazza del Duomo and the beautiful cathedral itself. Our meal was... More

First contact: maitre D'. Made me wait for over 30 minutes probably because I had a small cheap backpack and not an expensive purse. Had to go back to him when I saw 3 couples passing ahead of me, not better dressed than I was. I asked for the terrace with the view, which I did get and was superb... More

We arrived ate this restaurant slightly late as our concierge neglected to mention that it is in a museum directly by the Duomo. We were seated inside with a dead on view of the Duomo. They do have an outside terrace but it was not open when we visited as it was inclement weather. We shared a foie gras plate... More

Overlooking the Duomo, this second floor restaurant offers great views while dining. The food was very well prepared and and good in taste. The wine list was extensive and not overly priced. I cannot say enough about the staff who were both attentive and helpful. The night we visited the restaurant, Milan was having a taxi strike. It seems the... More

Went here with a large group of coworkers. They were completely overwhelmed although we booked in advance. Service was bad we constantly run out of water and wine. One Indian colleague did not eat veal and they could not say if a risotto had beef in it or not. Food blunt. The views are however ok

I had a delicious lunch here with authentic Italian food. The service was wonderful. Food was delicious. Amazing pasta, beef, and veal dishes. The views are unbeatable. Your'e dining with in view of the iconic Duomo. It's very expensive, so be prepared for that.

Amazing food and fantastic view. The location is next to Duomo on the second floor of Museum Novacento. Magnificent service, delicious unique plates and the view to go with it. A must stop. Pricey but worth it

Nice restaurant in the Museum top floor. On the terrace fantastic views of the square. Food is nice, especially pasta (ravioli with fish). Service is ok, but sometimes slow. Book in advance

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
