Great location, outdoor table perfect for people watching on a warm evening. Food (risotto Milanese) was OK, nothing special - a little salty and undercooked for my taste. Good wine selection. Popular and busy place - the waiters were a little rushed.

Very nice restaurant where you can eat excellent fish and meat. Service is good and not too slow. I appreciated the suggestions from waiter. Good price to quality ratio. I think I come back here. Risotto giallo with osso buco was definitely satisfactory.

This restaurant is located in the upmarket Brera district of Milan. Close to our hotel Palazzo Pairigi. A fresh seafood display on ice to choose from and the best aubergine I've had in Italy. Highly recommended for those who like lively atmosphere with a touch of elegance.

Came here for late lunch on a rainy day. We have lobster pasta and black truffle pasta. All are very good. Service was average. Price very reasonable

We were recommended by the concierge of the hotel as not touristic but it is somewhat. Started well with drinks and goodies but ordered zucchini flowers which were covered in a thick undercooked batter ugh!!! From then ok but nothing special I think trust trip advisor recommends !!!!

Dinner on Good Friday and did not want to risk being without a table so had made reservations for 5 based on Tripadvisor reviews. In spite of being in one of the very touristy Brera main streets the restaurant seemed to be mostly filled by locals which is usually a good sign. The food we had was good, especially the... More

The food was OK to very good. But we were unlucky with our waiter. He was difficult to get hold of, and paid us little attention. He stood and talked with the table behind us for 10-15minutes, so maybe he didn't like to speak english, or maybe he knew the people on the other table, and that took his attention... More

Decided to have dinner in this place because of location and ratings at TripAdvisor. A mistake to be on high expectations visiting touristic spot. But let’s start from the very beginning… It was really busy just with one table left and we decided to take it. The menu looked interesting and we focused on sea food. It was another mistake... Get there around 7pm and you'll be fine. Recommend ordering the mixed selection of appetisers from the meat section. The ravioli with butter and sage was delicious as was the red wine!

The environment is cozy like the one you will find in this new restaurants/café which have a hypsteristic look. The menu offers however very traditional food, which makes a nice contrast. The quality of the food is very good (said by an Italian born in the north of Italy) and with reasonable portions. The price is a bit expensive, but... More

Staying in Brera

Neighbourhood Profile
Brera
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
