Simple and solid cooking here! Great lunch spot for a quick casual meal. Shared tables and we were the only tourists in sight...what more could one ask for?

Arrived early to get a table for lunch at this busy spot. Food was excellent rustic fare, and prices very good. Busy and atmospheric,a very good choice near the Duomo

Went to Da Pino for a late lunch and was not disappointed. The place was busy with locals and understandably a couple of the items on the menu were not available. The meal was authentic, good and excellent value for money. Only down side was we ordered a carafe of house wine and it was a mixture of wine and... More

My wife, son and I turned up one Friday lunch time in early April hoping for a table at this famous Milanese institution. We were somewhat discouraged to find a crush of people in the bar area waiting for seats. But we stuck around and were very glad we did because turnover was fairly rapid and we were at our... More

I am quite Reluctant to share this place yet, having returned there today I feel, for the common good, I must !! This is, Hands down, my favourite lunch place in the City for just about 15 years now. A trip to Milan would not be complete without popping in here. Home cooking at its best, light, fresh, traditional, noble,... More

The food is very good, simple ans tasty,tagliata,pasta... More

I visit Milan every year for the furniture fair in April and always make sure I dine at Da Pino at least once. The food is always exceptionally good and the wine list is also excellent without anything being ridiculously expensive - think between €20-40 a bottle. Service is always great and going back is like visiting old friends Also,... More

Simply, a very good restaurant. Agreeable room with an internal court, fast service and kind staff (not too friendly, not cold..), good menu with a mix between tradition and innovation, fresh products, low prices (but not so low to affect quality) and portions that allow you to take a dish + garnish + dessert and be happily sated without feeling... The place is "hard" to find, but once you have visited it - you will come back - I even dream about it. Can hardly wait for my next Milano visit. I ate there twice last week with friends - a perfect lunch experience!

Booked a table for 4 on 6th June through hotel concierge, couple of weeks ahead. The restaurant called the hotel two days later to say that the booking had to be cancelled. Not particularly fussed, I changed the reservation through the concierge to 8th June. A few hours ahead of the reservation, the restaurant called again to say that they... More

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
