We were pleasantly surprised, Pastas here were amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed both the food and service. Serving size was generous and well priced.

We could not get the table at the restaurant we wanted, and walked by this one. It doesn't have english menu, but the waiter (maybe the boss) tried his best to explain. The food was pretty decent, we had fried seafood and pasta.
Went with friend for meal on first night in Milan. Will be a hard act to follow, friendly service good meal and nice wine reasonably priced.
With the threat of rain & having walked a lot already during the day, we wanted to go for supper within 15-20 minutes' walking distance of our hotel. Film is a huge part of our lives so, Amarcord naturally caught our attention; the menu appealed,...too. Our choices turned out to excellent, for our preferences anyway. Antipasti: the calamari -- a rare non-veg option for us -- was not your typical offering. I opted for 2 items from the contorni menu: the beans (simple, delicious) and the artichoke (utterly unique, in my experience). My better half had the hemp flour fettuccine (excellent). Dessert torte was rustic, figgy loveliness. The meal and service were superb. The ambience was nearly perfect: About 1/2 way through our experience, the quietude was broken by some contemporary music, but at least the volume was kept low. P.S. The server left us a wee jug of acqua di rubinetto -- grazie mille! Touring all day leads to thirst that booze cannot satisfy.More
It was one of our best experience in Milan. The owner is a very nice guy. The food is excellent. Every dish we took were tasty. Try the swordfish and the pistachio cake ! We will come back again and again
Grazie mille l'aspetto ancora
My wife and I ate here on a recommendation from our hotel on a recent trip to Milan. We sat outside, watching the world go by as we ate. Both our meals were delicious and typical of something that you would expect in a small...Italian family restaurant. We were well looked after and service was friendly and attentive. We would certainly recommend Amarcord.More
Had a delightful meal here with delicious, fresh Italian food! Service was friendly and accommodating!
This restaurant was a great find! The antipasti - salty San Daniele ham with sweet marinated figs and gorgonzola, toasted corn bread & grilled scamorza - never tasted better.. Secundo - Ossobuco with risotto milanese - the tender and finely seasoned meat just melted in...the mouth.. The owner and his staff were one of the best and friendliest we have seen in Italy during the few years we have traveled here! Thank you for the delicious dinner!lMore
Me and my cousins stumbled upon this gem one night! I had pasta with clams and my cousins pasta with seafood which were cooked perfectly! For seconds I had lamb chops with artichokes which were surprisingly really good! Dessert followed with great locally made food!...On top of that we received complementary bruschetta, biscotti and lemonchello!! Overall, great service, great food and great experience!!More
Cozy small restaurant. We had the veggie millefeuille to start, then fish and pasta. They took dietary needs into account and adapted the starter. Very nice. Everything was very tasty, most of all the pasta. The fish was a little too salty for my taste....Try the fig pie for dessert!More
Dishes are very beautiful and flavory. We were surprised about the place and the special dinner we have had . The master is friendly . It is a bit too expensive but I Was happy to pay for the good service
We dropped randomly in at this restaurant and got amazing food and service. They had good Valtilinan vino, and a good ambiance. Would go back another time!
Solid and traditional Italian cooking served by caring staff who are friendly and enjoy having guests. This restaurant provided everything we had hoped for our first dinner in Milan. In Milan, where many Italian restaurants are not owned or operated by Italians, it is very...refreshing to find a gem such as Amarcord which is genuinely local. We had a late dinner on the covered outside dining area in front of the building. Located by a busy intersection, it was a great spot to watch people, cars, and electric trolleys go by. Dinner and drinks for three was 63 euros.More
I had two excellent meals at the restaurant, coming back the second night because I could find nowhere else in the area with genuine local food. Everything I tried was good: stuffed pumpkin flowers, spelt spaghetti with asparagus, lemon and pecorino, cold veal with beans...and salad, seafood pasta. Friendly service. Good, simple food and wine. What more do you want?More
A short visit to friends in Milan who took us to Amarcord - very good food, very good service - great atmosphere and so friendly. Can't wait to go back and have already recommended it to a member of the family who is often in...Milan.More
