After reading reviews, I was skeptical of this place as I thought it would be uncomfortable with the tables placed too close together. I am glad I didn't let that discourage me because i would have missed out on a truly magnificent meal! We were greeted with a smile and shown to a corner table that fit our family of... More

Il solferino is one of those 'MUST' restaurants one should go to, once in Milan. You are lucky to find a table during the salone dil mobile. Always book ahead of your trip to that fair city. Good wine and good food. And the most important part of that is that you might bump into a famous football player or... More

We enjoyed our dinner. The place is small and was packed so we were happy that we made a reservation. The food was nice but the Brunello by the glas was not great. The service was friendly. This is a typical Italian restaurant - nothing fancy. I would go back if I am in the neighborhood.

We visited this restaurant with two grandsons and absolutely loved it. We had bresaola as an appetizer and it was excellent . For dinner we had risotto alla Milanese ,spaghetti with lobster, spaghetti with red sauce, Ossobuco di vitello and made a special dish of chicken milanese for me.they couldn't have been more accommodating. It was all delicious...For dessert we had... More

Il Solferino offers tasty Milanese cuisine in a charming atmosphere. The wine selection is also impressive. Favorites were the soup of the day, the chicken and the orecchiette pasta. Enjoy!

This place is crowded, loud and very busy. The tables are very close together and every time the waiter served the table behind us he ended up banging into my chair. We had the bufala with tomatoes to start (was delicious but needed more tomatoes). For the main we ordered tube pasta with meat (had too much sauce on it)... More

We were lucky enough to have Solferino suggested by our concierge at the hotel. As soon as we arrived we fell in love with the place. It looked so authentic with the nice imperfections all around. We got seated with no delay and this is where the food charm started. Harold was our waiter. Very friendly and full of knowledge... More

Excellent food of a very high standard and excellent presented. Very imaginative too. Vast wine menu too. This is fine dining at it's best, but it's not a formal experience. The Octopus starter was heavenly as was the Tiramisu, probably the lightest and best one i've ever had. Not cheap at all, but worth it.

I want to start this review by saying the food was superb. The burrata antipasto was incredibly fresh and the risotto Milanese was the best I have ever had. The Chantilly cream desert and tiramisu was also heavenly. The only reason I give this Restaraunt 4 stars is the service was not great. At times we felt rushed and at... More

I was visiting my daughter (who is studying abroad for the semester), and we came here based on Trip Advisor reviews and recommendations from our hotel. We both had a wonderful meal and experience. Delicious food, very good service, and nice wine list helped us enjoy our evening. We never felt rushed and Il Solferino appeared to serve locals and... More
