We had a 50% discount on the final bill thanks to The Fork and picked this place out of many others adhering to this offer. The owner is from Süd Tirol, an Italian region next to the Austrian border. His wife is Sicilian. The antipodes of Italy, basically. As we entered the place, a strong smell of rotting fish hit our nostrils.... More

I visited this place on a number of occasions. The last time I came with a group of 6.The restourant presents itself as a small old fashioned but really warm atmosphere.Anyways the reason to come here is the food starting from the sardine marinate and the bruscheta up to filetto with tartufo, spaghetti alla chitara and tonno, not to mention the deserts like... Nice ambience for this small but warm restaurant. Good food and well presented even the list is not so large. Vine you can find what you like. Service by the owner was very care and attentive. Prices in the average for Milan city.

Excellent Sicilian food. The pasta, salads, and cannoli are all superb. Charming horse-themed decor. Good wine selection.

Highly recommend this little restaurant. Good value, good service but the food is really the best part of the experience, really super Italian food and not the usual Milano fare. Will return.

The Horse Cafe was our favorite part of our 12 hours in Milan. The cafes were closed for pausa and the man cleaning the Horse Cafe was super nice as we wandered around looking for a snack. We decided to go back there for dinner because the cleaning man was so nice and it has amazing decor and signage. The... More

A small, almost hidden, wine bar and restaurant with homemade cooking. There are a few tables outside, but I recommend eating inside, it’s dimly lit giving it a romantic glow. It’s fun to look around at the decor; the owner is a Champion Equestrian Jumper, therefore the name, Horse Cafè and he has his competition prizes, cups, ribbons and medals... More

My husband and I ate our first meal in Milan at this restaurant. We simply walked down a street and selected it because the menu looked good. We ordered bruschetta, gnocchi with Gorgonzola, gnocchi with ragu (one of the daily specials) and two glasses of wine and everything seemed reasonably priced. The waiter translated the entire menu for us and... More
