The meals were wonderfully served. The selection was amazing. The portions were exactly the right size without making you feel too full. The wine selection is also good.

I recommend making a reservation here, especially in holiday season, or on holiday long weekends. It is on the expensive side, but it comes with perks like having a drink in a nice garden and enjoying the sights of an old building. The building itself...More

As the name suggests this is an old convent building, complete with shady cloister. It's a special place for a special occasion. We were child free for the day and celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary here. From the moment we arrived we felt special. We...More
Dear Redmum64 , thank you for your opinion published in Trip Advisor regarding your visit at El Convent 1613 in La Fresneda. We love to hear that you enjoyed with us, and thank for choosing us for a special occasion. Kind regards ¡
This is one of those rare places that enchant from the moment you arrive, beautiful old building carefully retored and adapted to use as a hotel and restaurant, the food is lovingly prepared and preseneted, the modern hotel extension blends well with the original convent.
Thank you so much for your lovely words :) greetings ¡¡

Very delicate and well presented meal. The local wines are OK, the best that one can recommend is the local oil, it is produced in the area and in different varieties. I recommend the Picuant, very tasty.
You won't be disappointed. The setting is beautiful and exquisitely decorated. The service was excellent. The food was top notch and they did not skimp on the portion size. We ordered the Ternasco del Horno (lamb baked with potato, onion and tomato), which was phenomenal,...More

The setting is quite extraordinary and the service is truly nice. The food, however, is not superlative and therefore the place seems overpriced. For instance, the cheese in the goat-cheese salad was simply supermarket-grade chèvre (having way too much of it did not make up...More
My wife and I dined here while on a driving holiday through Aragon on the way to Barcelona from Valencia. The town itself seems a bit overlooked considering the beauty of the medieval centre and the church and ermita above. The dining at El Convento...More
