Firstly, I must start by saying the food was good and the price range matched the quality of the food. The decor is smart, and there are sliding doors where you can close yourself off for privacy if you want. We did enjoy the food....but we did find the process quite hilarious. DRINKS Firstly our waiter seemed to be the son of the owners and he was incredibly disinterested in working there. After being shown to our seats, he handed out the menus. 2 mins later he did come to take the drinks orders , which we asked for water, sprite, Sake and a beer. He the brought everything but the sprite. We asked again for it and he rolled his eyes and brought lemon tea. We managed to get his attention to say sorry we wanted a sprite. Humungous eye-roll and he brings it over. FOOD This left us in hysterics. I asked him what he recommended, and he replied with "I recommend you order from the menu". I then asked what a certain pork dish was like and he looked at me like I was an idiot and said "Its pork". We then ordered the sushi boat, a chicken rice dish, salmon rice dish, and donburi. The chicken rice dish turned up as the pork. The deserts were all geat! PAYMENT We then received the bill and the lemon tea was on it. Couldbt be bothered t complain about it. We headed to the door and rubbish waiter was wating there obscuring the handle causing one of our diners to assume he was holding the glass door open and he walked into the door with a loud bang. What did rubbish waiter do? he burst out laughing! TBF it was funny, but laughing at your clients probably isn the way to go. We left in hysterics at the poor service. But as I said, the food was good. Just dont get served by the owners son - he clearly doesnt want to work thereMore
Nice staff and good quality food, plenty of variety and exotic combinations, sushi, ceviche and lots of colorful food!
After reading all the TA reviews, we decided Kazan would be good choice for Japanese food and sushi. Well, it was inexpensive, and basically the “you get what you pay for” saying is valid. The sushi was fresh and tasted just ok. The “cooked” dishes...missed the delicate touch of a real Japanese chef. At least the staff were friendly and attentive. It is true that this night was good for a break from Italian cuisine. Also that one shouldn’t expect great Japanese cuisine way out here in Como. You just need to understand that.More
Amazing and tasty food with excellent service. The fish is so fresh and well prepared that every bite melts in your mouth.
Had the pleasure of enjoying sushi in the middle of Como, Italy. We feasted on salmon, tuna, crab, eel, and mixed tempura. Not only was it a nice change from 2 weeks of Italian cuisine but it was tasty. The fish tasted fresh and service...was great. Being a frequent visitor of sushi and Japanese restaurants back home this place didn’t disappoint.More
We’ve been in Italy for a month now and have had some seriously wonderful food but tonight we were looking for something different, something Asian and being Australian we have some great Japanese food at home. I did a quick search on my phone and...found Kazan Sushi. It looked the part and when locals started arriving and it seems that they were all regulars and the restaurant was doing a roaring trade in take away. Our food was very, very good and authentic and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. If you find yourself in Como and you are craving Japanese food, I can recommend Kazan. Decor is authentic, service is excellent and the food is great.More
Food was good, especially their rainbow maki with salmon. Thats a must. Regular nigiris were pretty regular...not as special taste as sushi can be. Service was nice although I got first wrong nigiris. Clean and stylish place.
It might be a little strange at first to consider going all the way to Como/Italy to eat Japanese food but at Kazan it is well worth it. I have been coming back to Kazan for more than five years (several times per year) and...the quality of the food has been consistently excellent. I have had Sushi in many places and must say that Kazan would also do well in LA, San Francisco, Toronto or Düsseldorf (four great places for Sushi imo). The fish is always fresh and the rice is phenomenal!More
Wonderful service. The sushi was amazing. We say inside but you can also sit outside in the square down the street.
We went there many times with friends. Service is always very fast and polite; food is fresh and yummy; environment is quite and atmospheric. In general I could recommend this place! P. S. if you decide to go there, try Dolce Japanese necessary, normal and...with ice cream inside😋More
I went to this restaurant for 3 times. The first two times I went there on Friday lunch time and order the cheap lunch set, it was good. Therefore, I strongly recommanded my husband go with me on Saturday. Then I noticed the tuna on...my dish is not as fresh as I ate before, it has strong fish smell. Unfortunately, my husband really got a "spoiled tuna" on his dish ! I can not believe it ! I tried to taste it and it is really stale. I call tthe waitress, she change it without saying anything, but the replaced tuna was smelled like mine, not spoiled but not fresh. so we left it without eating it. When we go to pay, the owner knew they served spoied fish, but no asking, no apologies. We won't go there any more.More
This place is very nice, near by the lake and with great japanese food in every dish you can taste. You'll be always satisfied.
We use to go here quite often while in Como. The restaurant is always very nice and both the service and the food is always good.
We were pretty early for Italian standards at around 7pm, so we were the first ones there. We ordered several things and they brought the Sushi one order at the time - we liked this as we were all eating from the same platter and...shared the experience even more so. It was nicely decorated in a modern and rather dark style, but somehow Japanese. If you seek privacy, they have private compartments. The sushi was excellent and the pieces of fish were huge. The service was quick and effective, however not very friendly.More
