Went to this place because of the good reviews and I was very pleased. A lot of locals as well as tourists visit this place from what I've seen. I had the farnicata (their speciality; spme type of cornflour bread) with pesto and a slice of their famous margarita pizza. To save money, get the farnicata + slice pizza option,... More

The Pizza was Not good, the starter "vegetables" came from a can and tasted like pure vinegar. The only ok-thing was the farinata, But it was the first time i tried it so it might be better somewhere else... I will not come again. I rather spend a little more and get good food!!!

This place is normally packed and with a huge line selling farinatas. It's not classy at all but the service is very friendly as well as attentive. We tried different farinatas with gorgonzola cheese and pesto. I personally loved the latter. Their pizzas are small but fine, something that kids will love. I think it's a nice place to get... Visited for lunch on a rainy Wednesday in La Spezia. The place was bustling even at 1:30pm; I got the only free table and the tables were still mostly full with new customers when I left at 2:15pm. I had the farinata with pesto and pizza with prosciutto, both of which were delicious. Both were a bit oily/greasy, but very... More

Really nice pizzas with a lot of variety. Fast service! Loved the base and cooking of the pizzas. Can't recommend the traditional anjovis pizza though.

We read that this was a traditional pizza place, so we went. The place was nice, a lot of people, friedly service, casual atmosphere. The pizza was a bit as the pizza we ate at the 70's in Greece. Oily and thick. Of course we ate everything. Fair price.

In the centre of La Spezia for over a hundred years, this family owned oven pumps out tons of pizza, focaccia and farinata.....and it tastes just great! Try the local chick pea 'pizza bread' called farinata with a block of soft stracchino cheese....thats worth the trek in and around the streets of La Spezia to find La Pia on its... More

Very convenient location on the main piazza, this is the place to go if you are ravenous and need some carbs...cheap, friendly, good quality pizzas (and a limited range of drinks) ALL to take out into the square or perhaps wolf down at a small stand up counter. Thanks for a top cheap eats fill up.

A nice local pizzeria. Locals go here. Fantastic Farinata with pesto, and Pizza Margarita. Very bright lights though; but that's how it is in Italy.

They have a sit down place too but we chose the typical takeout which is charged by the kilo. We had a thicker crust pizza (which has not been the norm so far in Italy) and the wonderful Farinata. Have to try that! Inexpensive and good pizza. Very limited area to stand and eat. Take it to the street.
