Sometimes there are places that we visit which we don't review because we want them to remain secret. However, because of Genova's defensive street layout, it will take an intrepid and hungry traveler to find this oasis of true Italian/Ligurian food. No English is spoken here and there was no attempt to try. Thank God! We were met with beautiful... More

The restaurant was lovely and autentic furnitured, a hidden tresaure! Fresh and delicius food. There are also a dialy specials apart from the menu. We tried both menu and the daily specials. Both were excellent! Seems to be a very popular place among locals!

This is definitely a hidden gem of Genoa. The food was so fresh and delicious. You knew it was quality from the amount of locals who make it their frequent lunch spot. There are also daily specials apart from the main menu, and we tried the tortellini with meat sauce which was very tasty, as well as an appetiser cheese... More

Great little place in a quiet street in the old town area of Genova. Had a delicious lunch of local specialties. We have eaten here previously and will certainly return.

As other reviewers seem to have done, I came across this place quite by accident while strolling in the old town. Had an excellent pork roast lunch, and was sufficiently impressed to go back for dinner, which was also very good. The patrons seemed to be mostly locals, with only a few accidental tourists: this is certainly not a tourist... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant whilst in Genoa, its located down a narrow passageway. We were attracted to it as it looked authentic, full of local business people. We chose the pork steaks which were HUGE! Also very tasty. We asked for 2 glasses of wine and he left the bottle saying we could pay for whatever we drank! The... More

Boxes of wine stacked up, nice pictures along the wall and a very friendly service. Let them recommend a local wine, it worked out great for us.

I was surprised the hotel did not know of it. I found myself just walking around. Really quaint and typical of the understated parts of Italy. Real Italy is here. The service is patchy but friendly however I would easily come back again. No problem. Best pasta!
