Pasta with calamaria, anchovies and Cauliflower paste was absolutely delicious as was the caprese salad starter (with a lovely pesto soufflé) and the lemon torte. Service was excellent - very attentive. Excellent value for money

Nice place on the main hill. Good place to watch life go by. Food was above average not outstanding, but worth a visit.

The local house wine was good, and the basil pesto pasta was amazing. The fried mixed fish was terrible. So dry and the fish had more bones than meat. Also for the price the portion was very small. The seafood pasta was bland, also with...very little seafood. Definitely not a recommendation.More

On a Saturday night, we searched for the best seafood in Riomaggiore; chose Il Grottino and were not disappointed. We started by sharing a delicious plate of gnocchi with mussels that was incredible! Soft petite gnocchi in a delectable buttery cheesy sauce with plenty of...mussels garnished with mussels in their shells. We both ordered the entrée of seafood medley of little fishes, shrimp, octopus, calamari and anchovies with a side salad. OMG! Fresh catch fried in a very thin batter was delicious and more than I could finish, and I’m a clean plate kind of guy. House wine was very good. I highly recommend Il Grottino as service was friendly and prompt and the atmosphere was charming.More

We had a mean course and dessert, some wine and water and paid EUR 60. The meal was ok, the place nice but overal there are better places in Riomaggiore. It feels a little like eating at your nan’s.

In 4 days in Cinque Terre, this was the best meal we had by far. I got the linguine with pesto, fresh tomatoes, and clams. My husband got the ravioli bolognese. We topped it off with panna cotta as dessert, and it was so good!...Prices were reasonable for the quality and area. The owner was also very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that service was a bit slow, but I feel like that’s to be expected in Europe :)More

After a long day or hiking and boating we had forgotten to make an dinner reservations. The other places we tried told us we would have to wait over an hour, maybe 2, for a table. They got us in for dinner in 20 minutes...with a little table rearranging. Food and atmosphere were both great. The seafood was fresh, the pasta was good, and they had a good wine selection. The manager and waiters were all very nice. Great experience here.More

We were looking for a late night dinner and we were warmly welcomed by our lovely waitress after enduring a few other restaurants telling us they had no room or kitchen was closed (9.30pm!) It’s a gorgeous cosy restaurant with the standard pastas & fish...on the menu...the food and wine were delicious and delivered in a very timely manner. I would recommend and would definitely go back.More

My friends and I went here for lunch and it was fabulous. Great service at 1 p.m. and good selection of Italian food. I really haven’t had a bad meal in Cinque Terre. Everything is fresh and delicious.
