Had a classic here - tagliatelle carbonara - and those can be the best way to find out how good a place is. It was unlike any i'd had in a long time.

We asked our cab driver where he would go for lunch in the center and he took us here. It was Delicious!! My husband said the lasagna was the best he'd had. We were lucky to get a table. After we were seated we watched them turn away quite a few people. Probably smart to make a reservation or expect... More

Having arrived early afternoon in Modena, we looked for somewhere for a late lunch. They were coming to the end of a very busy lunchtime service, but found us a table. Most of the customers seemed to be local, including a birthday party for a baby girl. The food was good and the service friendly.

Traditional Modena cuisine such as tortellini and gnocco frito, great local wine and a very welcoming approach. We went twice during a short visit to Modena.

I was told this was a great traditional place, and the restaurant was very crowded indeed. Food was overall ok, but not as good as expected. Service was not particularly friendly. I had the clear impression they urged me to free the table for other waiting clients. Maybe I was just unlucky...

A very busy place with excellent wine choice and classics like bolito misto and osobuko. Go for local prosciutto. They serve it with puffy deep fried bread/dough. We had goat (a bit dry), Milanese cutlet (scrumptious crispy crust), and scallopini with porcini. Do not hesitate to go for either of those. Staff was a bit cold in the beginning, but... More

Nice ambience, great and special food. Above all, however, I enjoyed the welcoming approach of the English-speaking waiter who served me, and the recommendations he gave me. Close to both historical center and train station.

We come to Modena every year and we always come to this restaurant. I always ask for tortelloni con spinachi e balsámico di modena... and I always ask for a se cond plate of it. Really delicioso. Right prices , good service

Understanding from my Italian host, this restaurant has been located in the same place for some 25 years. Possibly with the same management. It's popular, packed on a Monday evening and many spontaneous visitors can not be hosted. Good Italian food in bistro style environment.
