The huge platter of spaghetti allo scoglio was enough for two people, and was stunning to look at and tasty to eat. The branzino was perfectly cooked. The mixed cooked vegetables (asparagus, spinach and green beans) were delicious and not overcooked. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. This was one of the most memorable meals in Bologna.

My wife and I had sampled traditional Italian food a few times in Bologna, but I was craving for seafood. After an Internet search I found La Brace. Reviews were good, so we decided to give it a try. And were not disappointed. Lovely ambience, great staff, and the hostess, Monica was charming, and spoke English. The menu is extensive.... More

On our last night in Bologna we tried this restaurant. Quite a big menu, so choosing your meal isn't that easy. In the end I had some spaghetti with shrimps and basil and my boyfriend spaghetti alla puttanesca. My pasta was nice, the shrimp were very tasty and well prepared. The spaghetti alla puttanesca was something different, as we never... More

We had some pizza and it was the worst we had for a long time. Both were watery, the dough therefore soggy and the diavolo pizza had way too much grease drops swimming on top. The buffalo mozzarella we had as a starter was okay by itself, but the dried herbs they put on top were some cheap shelf products.... More

This restaurant was close to our apartment so it was a no brainer to go there for our first evening meal. It had a super atmosphere, filled with locals and possibly the odd tourist. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, the tagliatelle with ragu was delicious, and we so enjoyed the experience we returned for our final evening meal.

We visited the La Brace restaurant on the evening of 12th February; it is slightly away from the centre but is only three minutes’ walk from the Asinelli tower, along the Via San Vitale, on the corner of Vicolo Brogilo. It is bright and modern and decorated with pictures of stars from screen and music and football shirts on the... More

Went to this restaurant on Sunday night. Great food, I had steak with pepper sauce and my husband had a pork dish, bruschetta to start and dessert, glass of wine each and coffee for less than €65. Quality of food was amazing. Steak was cooked to perfection. Staff very friendly and helpful with choices. Most people around were eating pizza... More

Very good pizza, average swordfish carpaccio , awful salad . A bit annoying waiting staff, you don't feel very welcomed ,plus they charge automatically 2,5 euros per person , which for a restaurant like that , is a lot . Conclusion, go there for the pizza

Description
The restaurant is in the center of Bologna, not far away from the two towers, so even if there's not a great amount of parking places close to it, it's really easy to get to. The restaurant is cosy, it's ceiling is carpeted with football t-shirts, signed by their original owners. It's perfect for a quick lunch before going back to work, if you don't have much time, but also for birthday, graduation parties or for company meetings. Moreover it's possible to take away almost every dish in the menu from pasta, to meat, to fish and obviously, pizza. Reservations are always welcomed. The pizza is baked in firewood oven and all the courses are prepared at the time or, in the case of pasta al forno lie Lasagne, in the morning. It has also a large choice of desserts, from tiramisu, to cakes, to sorbetto, to fruit. In short, there's something for everyone!
