Old neighborhood restaurant, always packed with locals. For my money, still the best pizza in Rome. Pastas are also great. Prices very reasonable. The pasta servings are huge, so recommend you split one order for two people (the staff will gladly serve on two plates)...More

It was the only restaurant open on Sunday noon near Ostiense Station so we didn't have other choice. The truth is that the food was good, we have two pastas 10€ each, in our opinion too expensive for what was offered. They asked us if...More

Had a lovely meal here. Would highly recommend. Very friendly staff. We've tried a lot of restaurants in Rome but the fresh pasta here was amazing.

We recently visited Rome for a long weekend and were recommended Taverna Cestia. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and run by a local family. Although the menu was all in Italian a friendly waiter explained it to us and recommended food to us. The...More

We visiting Taverna Cestia on the recommendation of a family friend who lives locally. It was superb. The food was excellent, the 1 litre House Red very tasty, the service very efficient and the atmosphere very lively. The best advice we had received was to...More

I went to Taverna Cestia with a large group, and while the staff was very accomodating, service was a bit slow. I had the zucchini flower fritters and fried artichokes to start, which were terrific. I then ordered the pasta Amatriciana for my second course,...More

Wound up near the Piramide metro station, time to eat... seemed like a good place to sit and eat a bit. Tried inside, sent outside. A seemingly friendly waiter came and asked if we needed some translation of the menu. I know he thought he...More

My wife found this place and brought me back with our son and his girlfriend. We really enjoyed it. Some great artichoke dishes! Enjoy! Buon Appetito!

Last week I was in Rome with some foreign friends and I remembered this place not too far from the FAO. The service was poor and the quality of the food not satisfactory. The saltimbocca were with peas still half frozen and the wine Torello...More

Only 1 point for this? Only one point??!! Anyway the peas are note frozen and the Wine was an organic wine! Incredible! It's not fair to write so, i'm sorry.

Small menu but really tasty dishes, both the pasta and the meat and seafood second courses. The seafood pasta was excellent. Traditional Roman dishes and pizza on offer too. Service is typical old school Italian style. Nice atmosphere and a good selection of wines.

Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is
Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork
of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and
embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the
vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around
the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of
surprises like the clever little keyhole at the
Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find
