If you visit the Pantheon and want to eat something in the neighbourhood than this is a place you should try. Don't expect pizza or lasagne but traditional Italian dishes. The visitors are mostly local, it is not a tourist trap near the Pantheon. Prices around 8 euro for a pasta dish. Friendly service, good food, you won't be disappointed.

I have written reviews about Antonio al Pantheon earlier, in 2012 and 2014, but I simply have to reiterate my love of this classic restaurant. During our stay in Rome we had dinner here twice, and both times we were utterly satisfied and beaming with contentment. The restaurant has a beautiful and friendly atmosphere, and although Antonio was not there... More

Very nice restaurant on astreet full of restaurant. We made a reservation on line which didn't seem to matter. Table was not ready at 8m so we waited 10 minutes and they gave us (3) glass of wine! While eating our meal there were several persons waiting for an empty table, but the other restaurant had no wait! If planning... More

This is quite a touristy little street as this restaurant is very close to the Pantheon. However the meal turned out to be really delicious. I had the pasta with mushrooms and tomato, the pasta seemed home made and was al dente. My mother had the veal in a tomato sauce. The tomato sauce was good.

A friend took me here for truffles after having a great time himself. You can get a really great dinner for a decent price with truffles and other delicious food. The services was friendly and the food was all delicious!

Authentic Italian food, typical Rome ambiance. Good portions with varieties of dishes and nice house wine. We were a table of five and served within reasonable time. Been there before and definitely will return.

Very nice place, close to pantheon and trevi, family run, not pushy, very good service and friendliness. This is a good place to go with very good simple food. Try the fried artichoke for starters - very good between people!

We stopped here after looking over the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. The restaurant is not the touristy types. We may have been the only English speaking people in the restaurant. The fascinating thing was that the wines were all kept on shelves that hung on the wall over the tables. There were thousands of bottles and the... More

We booked a table last Saturday for a group of friends. 3 of us came on time and where given the table. When we arrived the owner was telling a group of young people without reservation that they did not have a table for them. Then they realised that the group was larger than ours (7 vs 5 people), and... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
