We brought a Rome-based friend here for dinner in October. It was a chilly rainy night, but the outdoor patio at Antica Pesa served us well...it was dry and warm and , as always, inviting and friendly. This long-time stalwart in Trastevere has not lost...More

What a disappointment! I can't understand how this restaurant has a star in Guide Michelin. Bad service and mediocre food. The starter/antipasti was ok. Will not return.

Very friendly staff and good pasta. Nice ambiance in a nice part of Rome. Would highly recommend. They also have a restaurant in Brooklyn.

Wonderful atmosphere, service, varied menu and great food, antica pesa has it all. We loved the tuna carpaccio with ginger presented in a fresh fig. The caccio e pepe was perfect and the grilled swordfish on a chickpea puree and lavender infused lamb chops were...More

So disappoiinting....we had only one night in Rome and Antica Pesa was so recommended....but the menu was meh, not terribly interesting, a bit outdated. The food itself was good, not great. Pasta choices were actually discouraged as mid courses as “it takes too long.” The...More

Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded
postcard, a little worn around the edges but still
charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering
streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and
overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible
mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of
entertainment - a rotating set of street performers
entertains almost every night, and unforgettable

We went on a Saturday evening so people tended to be dressed up as they were there for celebrations (birthdays etc). I think in general it would be classed as "smart casual" because it is not cheap and it's probably... More

Giving always attention to meet the changing course of the latest trends, the restaurant has the culinary agility to anchor the current fashion to the heritage of the rules and quality of the food products, maintaining the delicate equilibrium between discretion and popularity. In this way, we assure our guests to be present, without appearing. The original customs officer and the modern host, preserving the historic mission of the place, have been followed by a family known as connoisseurs of taste: the perfection of the proposed cuisine, offered in an ambiance enhanced by the beauty of the great artworks and the meticulous attention for each guest, so to guarantee an exclusive atmosphere combined with the warmth of a comforting familiarity. Our guest, no matter from which movie set arrives, or for how long hasn’t come, is always welcomed with a smile, a shake of hand, a delicious meal accompanied by an excellent wine and with the warmth of the art surrounding this fascinating angle of Rome. We know well that what the body nurtures is not foreign to the soul.
