Good quality Swedish food in rome! I can recommend the blå kongo patato. The owners are very friendly, they give good explanations on the menu and they speak english. When you are in the neighbourhood this restaurant is a good option.
The night we arrived in Rome it was had to find a restaurant without reservations. This was across from the hotel we were staying. We had a short wait. The meal was good and the staff nice and friendly.
We were recommended here for a Swedish cuisine, for a change. However, although it may have had Swedish elements in the cross-over it was probably exotic for Italians but not very Swedish for us. Asking for knäckebröd we got something like dry naan bread and...More
After so many days of pasta and pizza, November 2, 2015, we discovered Bla Kongo, Swedish food filled with comfort and joy. What a great place to get away from it all, just for a couple of hours. I can recommend the Swedish Meatalls and...More
The restaurant has many tables. Some people loved the food; others thought is was average. Our program director felt they have the best Swedish meatballs in Rome. The ambiance is pleasant and the wait staff good.
Great experience visiting this cute small restaurant. Service was great, delicious food with great sizes. Very natural and organic choices. I suggest you make a reservation since they are usually packed and since they are small you may have to wait for a little and...More
Danes have a word for it, "hygge". The place is cosy, candles, pillows, gross woods. The food is fine, light and tasty, no heavy seasoning. Try the Swedish typical blue potatoes and the organic beers.
Staff very friendly and the place is very comfortable but the food was a bit too standard. The menu didn't seem very swedish ... for example I ordered the 'prawn cocktail' hoping for something similar to the amazing skagen I ate in Stockholm, but it...More
The herring starter was excellent and the salads HUGE! Bla Kongo is a purple potato - dark, crumbly, rather dry flesh when baked but tasty with a sour cream, salmon and dill topping - an interesting eating experience. Staff helpful and friendly too.
