We ate here our second night out in Rome. This restaurant was recommended to us by the staff at Albergo del Senato. It was very good. They started us out with a flatbread, and our meals shortly arrived after. The Margherita Pizza was very good, and had a great thin crust. The Rigatoni Diavolesca was amazing. It had a bit... More

Came here as the food in the Pantheon square was expensive. Just round the corner. Had great bruschetta, pasta and wine. Would highly recommend! Service was super fast!

We stumbled across this place on our first night. It was busy but we managed to get a table for 2. The service was prompt and the food was fantastic. Very authentic and so tasty! We loved it so much we had to return 4 days later just before we left! Highly recommend a pizza or the carbonara.

I often go at la Sagrestia when I am in Rome, and it is always a fulfilled promise. The place is near the Panteon and the owner Oreste is always there, sometimes also entertaining customers with roman songs and poetry. In Sagrestia you can eat very roman high quality dishes, in a very roman ambiance. I would recommend absolutely everything,... More

Our hotel was next to the Pantheon, so La Sagrestia was just a 3-minute walk away for us. How lucky for us! It's a great restaurant, offering some awesome Italian food. Everything we tried was wonderful. We ended up eating dinner here six out of our ten nights in Rome. We actually discovered the restaurant 10 years ago on our... More

I first came here as a college student 45 years ago. I moved to Rome 10 years ago, and was pleased to see that the restaurant is still run by the same family. We go often when we are near the Pantheon and will often take visiting friends to have lunch or dinner here. Pizza is great. They also serve... More

Came here by default as could not get a table elsewhere in the area at short notice. Packed, mostly tourists. Not the best food we had in Rome, but everything was well cooked except one dish was over-salted. Not a bad choice for a busy, cheerful and reasonably priced place near the Pantheon.

Close by our hotel, we wanted something simple after traveling most of the day from Tuscany. My carbonara was uninspiring and the pork/bacon left me flat. The veal piccata didn't hit any special notes. This was my last meal on a 5-day visit to Italy and didn't measure up to others in the same price range. Can't win them all...

Food was amazing, hot and tasty. Ambience great and typically Italian.Felt very embarrassed with our poor Italian lingo, but they made every effort to understand, with a couple of minor glips which we all laughed about. Heading back tomorrow night for my husbands birthday for another great evening. Thank you

My wife and I dined at this lovely genuine Italian restaurant 3 times in the last few weeks and every time we were greeted by the staff like long lost old friends with lovely smiles and a glass of vino!! This place has a warmth about it and the staff are very accommodating. The chef will come and talk to... More
