One of the very best restaurants we ate at during our 10 day holiday in Italy. Centrally located (close to the Roman Forum) yet in a quiet side road. Very lively place frequented by a mix of locals and tourists The food is beautifully prepared and very tasty. Reasonably price for the quality of the food on offer. Make a... More

Make a reservation or you may have to wait. Seems to be very popular with locals. Lovely restaurant that has charming ambiance. Tends to be busy, we were told, and it was. Lucky to get a table without a booking. Service was a little slow, but not for the lack of trying. The staff were clearly rushing and doing their... More

Really no need to add more positive reviews as there are already plenty in Tripadvisor. Yes food is good: for lunch I ordered the Carciofo Julia (deep fried artichoke) since artichoke is in season, and the classi Cacio e Pepe (cheese and pepper pasta). The sauce was a tad thick for my taste. Service was very attentive. Wait staff actually... More

We went there after our roma antica visit. Our private guide suggested it to us. It was more than worth a try. Nice food and tasty for some typical roman dishes. Friendly staff (family members).

Food was all excellent, and they love cats! The Roman artichoke appetizer was amazing, as well as grilled lamb and cacio e Pepe! Panna cotta with pistachio and tiramisu incredible. Must go!

Went here for a dinner and everything was wonderful! The fetucini truffle was amazing and my partner had some bruschetta with pork if i'm not mistaken, forgot the name of it really. Recommended!

We stumbled upon the Taverna but did not realise we would need to book; however, Aldo was most accommodating and ensured that there would be space available later that lunchtime. Upon our return we were ushered in and made to feel really welcome in this family run locale. The location is in a good spot, whilst the interior has character... More

Honestly, there is no non tourist area in Rome so there is no point complaining that the locals are a minority in this restaurant . The locals are the minority in Rome period with the combination of Chinese, Indians and Africans plus the huge tourist numbers transforming the city. The food, service and ambience are all very good here. The... More

Hotel made reservation. Seated promptly. Services was split between at least three different people - including the owner. Drinks were ordered and served incorrectly. Reorder of the drinks were fine. I had the pasta da pulcinella. Nothing special - average at best. Not really worth the hype that Elizabeth Minchilli proclaims for this restaurant.

We had lunch here and were very impressed. The food was excellent. The staff friendly and service good. We were lucky to get in as the place was very busy. Recommend reservations
