The place is small, so book it if you want to come. It is a great restaurant in a small location. The food is superb. Price is fare... but not cheap. Traditional Italian food. Do not order Roman food.. but any past is amazing.

Absolutely charming little restaurant off the beaten path in the heart of Rome and worth the effort to find it. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at this little gem. The food was delicious, service excellent, and it was quite reasonable for appetizers, pastas, and a bottle of wine.

My wife and I like to wander the tiny streets of Rome hoping to find the little jewels of restaurants that pop up around the next corner. Il Bacaro is exactly that kind of place. We stumbled on to it when we were in Rome 3 years ago and when we were back this October went looking for it again.... More

As always, Il Bacaro provides a creative and delicious dining experience. Our sever and host Federico was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He helped a great deal with two excellent wine selections. Save room for desserts - they are terrific!

On our last day in Rome me and my fiancé looked for some special little place where we can satisfy our curious stomachs. Il Bacoro ofers fine service and authentic, yet magic kitchen. Place is cosy and prices are more than pleasant. Not Trevi Fountain, but Il Bacaro makes us in will to return to Roma. Thank You guys. Great... More

Stayed at the Hilton Florence Metropole and this local restaurant was recommended by the hotel. Have to say it's well worth the short 8 minute walk. Looks like nothing grand from the outside and in truth it is nothing grand but you will enjoy the experience. Open log fire greets you when you enter but the warmest greeting comes from... More

We had a simple but delicious pasta lunch here (sitting at an outside table), and it was so good that we decided to return for dinner on the last evening of our trip. So glad that we did. It is always a joy to find somewhere that really cares about flavours and the quality of the food they serve. We... More

Nice atmosphere! Wonderful service! Delicious food! This is a little restaurant that offers different things. We had a pumpkin and goat cheese sauce on homemade ravioli with prawns. Very tasty! Eat outside under the vines!

After my last visit I had to take my wife, to this restaurant, we ordered antipasti, very good, the pasta at first was excellent but then the salt attacks, it was unfortunately extremely salty. The waiter replaced the orders immediately, the replacement was not much better, and we did not complain anymore. To finish off we ordered the Tiramisu, very... More
