Popped for a couple of glasses of wine $48 for 4 in total, we did get some nice toasted sandwiches, olives and crisps but much nicer places 3 - 4 mins walk away at half the price.

We were staying at the Hotel Splendide Royal two to three blocks from Harry's Bar which is located in an upscale area at the top of the hill on Via Veneto, across from the entrance to the Borghese gardens and park. We happened to walk...More

The setting is quite nice facing the old walls of Rome but it's quite noisy being on the street. The menu looks nice but really expensive for ridiculously small dishes. We ordered tea and they served twinnings tea for 8 euros... The cocktail were pretty...More

Yes...this place is expensive for a couple of drinks. Their saving grace is that with the second drink order, I received a plate of 4 tapas...no charge. Across from the Marriott Grand Flora where i was staying.

Excellent kitchen and bar. Very colorful Location onVia Veneto in Rome. Very accommodating stall. Excellent food. Outdoor seating but the Dining room is rather Classic and would recommend eat inside. A little pricey but not over the top.

We stayed at the Marriott right across the street from Harry's Bar. It was late and we were tired and hungry, so decided to walk across the street and wow, what a treat. The food and staff were great. We sat outside and it was...More

We love going to Harry's Bar, we are usually here for lunch. They have a good menu and it might seem pricey however....if you order drinks they bring you snacks (chips, peanuts and small sandwiches). If you have coffees they usually bring a little tray...More

We were there in late afternoon and everything here made us smile. Great drinks and hot tea, a nice little tuna sandwich with the crusts taken off for my wife and a little cheese omelette for me. The feeling is pure old upscale Italian ...the...More

Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and
Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a
posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and
models while bored housewives hung out in streetside
cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the
cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to
five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law
firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to

Reservation is recommended, if you want a table for dinner and to receive the best attention. It's not needed for aperitives. Dress code: Smart casual during the day and suit in the evening.

Description
In order to write the story of this cafe we should get to meet every person who has gone to it, or most of them. Certainly each one of them would have a bit of story kept in the casket of their memories. Memories of unforgettable moment, but above all of a bit of history which has helped our Country to be born again. It was the Sixties and our bar proudly represented the meeting place of the " By nigth " Rome, of the " Dolce vita " (Sweet life), the place where riotous loves were born, where never revealed agreements were signed, were everything was familiar ... This was Harry's Bar. In the hearts of the ones who patronenized it, it never died, despite the hard times. Harry's Bar Rome was born in 1959, took its name only in 1962 but the cafe existed since 1918. It was the Golden Gate Confectioner's, quoted in many books. At the end of the Twenties it became part of the De Gasperis' family until 1958, the very year it cake to be American Bar Restaurant. Today the cafe shines in its Boisseirie, and in its plasters, more then 35 years old, of late renovated, the same feel you got in those years. He who doesn't know Harry's Bar Rome, has now good reason to go and see it. Legendary Harry's Bar is the unique place that evokes tbc "Dolce Vita' as if it were a clip from the film, creating a vivid flashback to the golden era of the Via Veneto, when Frank Sinatra sang at the piano and all the stars made their appearance in this bar/restaurant full of glamour and style. As in the roaring sixties, you can still sip an aperitif, enjoy the live piano bar every evening and dive into tbc magic of the Via Veneto from the exclusive and fascinating Harry's Bar. The refined cuisine recalls the freshness of Mediterranean flavours based on prime ingredients. Tradition and fantasy inspire the elegant dishes of the menu, accompanied by the most prestigious labels and a high class service.
