Service was excellent and the food outstanding. The menu is extensive. Everything looked great and tasted even better. The area has a lot to choose from so we were happy we got it right. Walk in to smiling people and leave with having had a good experience.

I like a lot sakana sushi and I have been there many times over the last few months. It's nice to sit at the kaiten while at the same time you can still order from menu. Everything is nice, waiters are friendly and atmosphere is really warm ad cosy. At times the uramaki we ordered (inside out rolls), especially those... More

This is a really good place if you are craving sushi in Rome. We have enjoyed our current visit and enjoy the kindness of the staff and quality of the service. Food itself was very good and since we were not able to finish everything we ordered, it was not a problem at all to take it away.

Brought my mom and two kids here to eat at 7:30 when the bar was completely empty. My 8 yr. old was thrilled by the idea of seeing and then picking the food she wanted. Although there was no need to, the waiter said he could have a dish especially prepared by the kitchen and then put on the rotating... More

Just outside the centre of the city, a good price for good food. We enjoyed the meal which was tasty and well presented by attentive staff. The restaurant was busy on a Friday night. This is not the best Japanese food I've had but it was good. The complementary aubergine appetiser was really good.

We have been in this place with friends, spending a pleasant evening. The environment is small, but not claustrophobic, divided between the area with a few tables and the area with the conveyor belt. We tried to sample different dishes, but especially sushi and sashimi. Everything is served with great care and with courtesy. The raw material is good, and... More

A solid, excellent Japanese dining experience. I've only had sushi with fish this fresh in Tokyo, Japan, and at Sakana you can find rare and delicious cuts of fish like otoro, the fatty tuna which literally melts in your pith. Besides from supremely executed sushi, cooked dishes are tasty and fun, with delicious soups (ramen and soba), fried dishes and... More

Excellent food and service. Waiters were always available, helpful, and kind. Loved double crab roll, tempura roll, and the cannoli topped it off. Let us taste several wines before we ordered.

Staying in Testaccio

Neighbourhood Profile
Testaccio
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighbourhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
