We had a quick lunch here when exploring Rome. We understood that the cafe has been in the same family since 1917, and the old couple serving us may well have been the owners. They were attentive, straight forward in a kind and friendly manner,...More

We stumbled onto Cafe Lotti after a visit to the Borghese Gallery. It is an old fashioned family-run restaurant and we met the owner (please pay Mamma the gelato server said) whose grandfather started the cafe that she now runs. Their home-made dark chocolate and...More

Loved this cafe/bar, a real local family cafe which takes care of you like you are one of the family! They encouraged my poor attempts at Italian and gave me a wonderful Riso dish with Prosecco to wash it down! As a solo female traveller...More

We came here one night for a couple of early evening drinks and loved it so much we came back again. The staff were wonderful and we were so well looked after - bowls of crisps and pastry fingers were served with our drinks -...More

This is a very good Italian bakery, with the addition of great gelato, tasty sandwiches, and a place to get a nightcap.

We walked in randomly, and found a special old Italian patisserie. Super authentic with most welcoming caring owners and staff. The locals seem to come there frequently but also many young tourists. We had a great Italian experience.

Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and
Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a
posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and
models while bored housewives hung out in streetside
cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the
cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to
five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law
firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to
