We found this just by luck one evening as we were staying at apartments nearby. There were 10 of us all girls, they set up a table for us straight away & were very helpful. The food was excellent & very reasonably priced. Service was excellent our waiter was very helpful & friendly. I will definitely be back the next... More

The food is according to Roman standards good. The wine come on pints. The service looks like Bryan Ferry. And the owner is a pasionate Roma fan. That combination makes it worth your while and the price is so low that you can't believe it.. If you're lucky - the local poets will hang around later in the evening and... More

We had a short wait for a table but it was Saturday night and they sorted one out for us pretty quickly. That was the best service we received all night. The food was pretty tasty, a reasonable selection and well cooked. We didn't wait long either. However the service was truly terrible. Anything we asked for seemed to be... More

The best thing about this restaurant was the mixed bruschetta, which was delicious. I ordered the scaloppini al limone and not only was it way over-cooked and tough, but there were only two tiny pieces on the plate. I asked for spinach and they were out of it and I had originally asked for veal milanese and they were out... More

Went there based on other reviews, but were very disappointed. Did not have several mainstay items in stock, although they were listed on menu. Veal scalopine drowning in oil al limone, and crispy on the side facing down. Pasta bolognese was good, but it takes a lot to ruin pasta for me. Too many good places in the neighborhood to... More

This place has a wonderful local atmosphere, with beautiful simple pizza. Great food and well worth a visit. It was also a cheap meal, a must for rome.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
