This place is fantastic! One of my favorite lasagnas in all of Rome. The Amatriciana is wonderful as well. For an appetizer I would recommend sticking to bruschetta with tomatoes and a mixed salad if you want some veggies. House red is good and for a good price. The prices are very reasonable; my wife and I usually pay around... More

We spent wonderful evening at cacio e pepe ristorante. All primi piati were very tasteful. As second course we had veal of saltimboca style. I ate it better in another restaurant. Not bad, but not excellent. 😀all deserts were really good.

This was a terrible experience. From the outside, it looked typical and cosy. Once seated inside, we were multiple times ignored by the staff. They did little effort to show us enthousiasm and understanding. They were even surprised by the order we made. After our appetisers, which were ok, we received a lasagna which came from the microwave, because it... More

Had great typical roman food: coda alla vaccinara, cacio e pepe, amatriciana. All of them were great. Cannot complain about anything. Prices quite low, service good. Only disappointment they dont have carciofi alla romana o alla giudia :-)

Visited this place twice a year ago and just hit it again. Always crazy busy and packed with locals not just expats and tourists. Tried and failed to replicate their carbonara over the past year. Cheap good eats. Waitstaff is pleasant, but cut them some slack if they are crazy busy as long as the food is good.

At this restaurant we had the best food we had in Trastevere. Great pizza, amazing gnocchi! And a delicious panna cotta! Nice waiters and good atmosphere. You can really notice that this team is running their restaurant with love.

The food was excellent and the service was lovely. We wanted a specific table outside so we chose to wait and the lady gave us a glass of Prosecco while we waited, a very nice touch. My fiancée had the lasagne and I had the mushroom risotto, it's was a taste sensation. I love the fact that the balsamic is... More

I took a client here during a work event and everything we ordered was out of this world. It was so good that I brought my husband back 3 days later. I can't rave enough about the food. The service, well that leaves a lot to be desired.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
