Ate there twice both times after 9PM. The first time the food was good, the atmosphere also. Like others mentioned, a mix of locals and tourists. The portions were large and we brought the leftovers to our apartment that was 5 minutes away. The second...More

Lovely traditional restaurant with a very friendly staff and tasty dishes. We liked it so much we went for a second time. Interior is traditional but there is good airconditioning. Loved the osso buco, the veal, the ravioli with wodka. Wine by the glass is...More

We were really interested in this place after we read the comments from others. After our visit it was a big disappointment for us. They messed up the orders, the staff was really mad and not a single word for the owner. They kicked us...More

Stayed in an Airbnb almost directly above this restaurant and came here twice in four days. According to our hosts, they serve authentic Roman food, and everything we ordered was great. Staff was gracious and accommodating (although they did mess up our order once), and...More

Easily missed from the road but on opening the door there's a full cosy restaurant, a buzz of noise. Clearly this is a place a lot of people attend regularly - most were Italian. The menu & ordering is slightly confusing & the service was...More

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only
way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The
Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas
in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s
famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to
its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub,
Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot
vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
