You don't get what you ordered, the chicken is way too salty and the salad is tasteless. A waste of money and time.

It was all great until I saw my food. Sat down the waitor was kind enough, sat us down gave us menus and gave us time to decide. I asked for the ham pizza. It arrived in a normal amount of time but what I saw on my plate wasn't worth the price(it was cheap but there's a minimum standard... More

Went here the first night we were in Rome it was recommended by the hotel receptionist next door. They have a tourist menu for 15 euro but we ordered from the standard menu and had a risotto and a carbonara both were very good and a good price. We had a nice bottle of prosecco and a bottle of water... More

It was getting late, I needed somewhere to eat, Piccolo was near my hotel. Service was gruff and rude. Food was terrible, the 'pizza' clearly had been frozen before, the topping was soaking through, and the cheese had not melted. Definitely one to avoid.

Simple setting, no hype. Real Italian Trattoria. Great prices. The wife and I spent 32 Euro for dinner that included wine, water, amaro and anti-pasta and I had Scallopine al Limone!!!

I was staying in Hotel Assissi (near Roma Termini station), and this restaurant was right next to the hotel. Thought of trying out this place. I was not disappointed, and found the food pretty decent. The food was not so very expensive too.

Cheap good food. Third time I've been here, simple place, not busy. Had steak and salad. Furniture a bit cheap. Cheap wine

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
