We stopped by this hole in the wall on our way back from the Capitoline Museum. The prices for the pizzas here are excellent, and they have a wonderful variety of flavors. The tuna pizza is amazing, the tuna was of good quality and had a fluffy texture that accompanied the bread very nicely. The spicy pizza is also great... More

The pizza is fresh and tasty, excellent variety and good prices. It is sold by the gram, so you can " mix snd match". The staff is friendly and helpful. Good for a quick meal.

Pizza was good and this is exellent place for takeaway. We have just travel to Rome and we just wanted to have something small. Pizzas for four person, three bottle of water and one beer was all together 16 euroes.

Cheap and delicious. Take away where you buy and choose any flavour of pizza by the square. We fed the family with drinks for less than 10 euros.

As many reviewers stated, this is really good pizza where you can try a variety of different slices. We tried the sweet peppers, Italian ham, veggie and squash (I think). Yes, we skipped the tuna, but lots of people was ordering it. They give complimentary water. The establishment is small with only a few seats, so it's mostly to go.... More

I LOVE this place. It is cheap, delicious and creative. I think it is probably one of my favorite pizzerias in the world and it is definitely my favorite one for Roman style pizza. I was able to go back recently and it didn't change much in the intervening years. It's still the same quality and level of deliciousness. I... More

I KNOW pizza and this place was awesome. Good ingredients and excellent crust. I made pizza for 5 years and am rather particular. We tried the buffalo mozzarella with roma tomato and basil, 4 cheese and the ham/cheese (better than regular 'ham') slices. All great. Would recommend them all. The older gentleman behind the counter was especially pleasant. Do NOT... More

Staying in Ghetto

Neighbourhood Profile
The mini-neigbourhood Ghetto holds tight to its reputation as a stand-alone area thanks to its nearly 300-year history as the home to Rome’s Jewish community. Times changed in the 20th century, but the tiny area still retains its mix of tradition, community, and history. Ancient and medieval architectural design frames apartments, bakeries, shops, and restaurants. Friends and families are the pulse of the neighbourhood, keeping company on the Via del Portico d’Ottavia. The Ghetto observes the traditional Jewish Shabbat: businesses close from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown.
