Sadly, Cafe Bernasconi is no more. They opened in 1923, and the owner retired. The new place, in the same location is actually better, but more expensive. Look foe Caffe Roscioli in the same location.

We stop there every visit to Rome. Friendly and great quality. Family run and Kosher if necessary for you. Tiny so keep an eye out. It's between the Campo de Fiore and via Arenula.

Coffee is great and pastries are awesome. We stumbled across this cafeteria and then kept coming back every morning.

After having tried numerous caffe (espresso) at many of the small bars throughout Rome (including several of the obvious famous establishments) for several weeks, Pasticceria Bernasconi quickly became my favorite. I loved their still warm Cornetti in the morning with my espresso as well as...More

This cute little place was near the apartment we rented, somehow we'd missed it on previous trips. Great coffee, and truly amazing pastries. And the price of the coffee is about 25% less than every other bar we'd visited in 7 weeks in Italy. Did...More

We found this place on our first trip a couple of years ago. This trip we went there every day. You will not find better coffee, at a great price(1 EU for a cappuccino). Pay the man at the register first, then step up to...More

This breakfast bar is located between Largo Argentina and Campo Fiori, on the main shopping street of Camp Fiori. It is very small. You walk up to the bar, order a cappuchino and then you look down and you are staring into an amazing array...More

Very good bakery which is frequented by locals. The patisserie and cappuccino were absolutely delicious. Highly recommended, you will not find a patisserie like this in America. The staff was friendly and prices were very reasonable. Once I discovered this place, I went back everyday.

Description
Bernasconi is a old and well established pastry and deli in Rome about 3 blocks off of the Campo dei Fiori. It serves some of the best breakfast foods in Rome and great expressos also. It should be in your restaurant list and is referenced many times under just Bernasconi in your discussion forums.
