Fortunately I hadn't read reviews before dining there this evening. I had tried two TripAdvisor places nearby : one was full - OK so booked for tomorrow - the other put the phone down! Yes we were also refused inside but went on outside in covered terrace - not warm but had heating. Waiter was friendly and helpful in English... More

We asked for a table for 4 and we were asked to sit outside, but it was on the chilly side to sit out. We asked to go inside, they didn't seem happy at all about that and told us that most people prefer to sit outside, however we stood our ground. Could not fault the food it was well... More

After we sat down at table we were ignored by several members of staff. When eating food the waiter took our plates away while still eating. We refused to pay 10% service charge due to awful service. When we said we weren't paying it, we were ignored by several members of staff. When one member of staff finally listened to... More

Four of my friends and I arrived at the restaurant and waited to be seated, I was the last to enter. The waiter was rude to my friends when they asked if they could sit on a particular table, the answer was an aggressive no, the table was not reserved and most of the tables were empty. I was the... So I ordered spaghetti carbonara and what i got was a full fork of spaghetti in a yellow sauce placed in a middle of a big plate ornated likewise Michelin-star rated restaurants. I could not eat it, was the worst pasta I ever had. It did not taste good and it looked horrible. Serving wasn't what is supposed to be.... More

Looks nice outside, looked and menu and thought it seemed reasonable. They charge coperta which is a cover charge per person, as far as I know, they can't do that in Rome. They also charge a ridiculous amount for water and a service charge. Food wasn't even good, was excited for Italian pizza and it was just greasy. Disappointing.

I don't know where to begin! It looks like a very nice restaurant from the inside and outside. When we asked for a table we were greeted by a gentlemen who was very disheveled looking wearing a winter jacket and blowing cigarette smoke at us. I was shocked that he worked there. The Caprese supposedly had buffalo mozzarella but it... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
