Decent food - simple and classic. Extensive menu with really reasonable prices for food and drinks. A busy restaurant with efficient, helpful staff.

This trattoria in the hip Monti neighborhood is (or at least seems) authentic and serves traditional italian cuisine in mid range prices. The menu has a wide variety of all typical italian dishes - pizzas, pasta, risotto, meat etc. The waiters were very polite and attentive. The food was very good - nothing memorable that impresses, but still quite good.... More

We were given a discount coupon for Trattoria il Tettarello from our hosts at Nostomondo, the apartment we rented in the Monti neighbourhood. I think the reviews here on the whole are balanced and accurately reflect a range of experiences: from tourist to local. Ours was positive. The restaurant walls are festooned with woodworking tools and other bric—à-brac. The waitstaff... More

Pizzas are garnished approximately. A slice of ham on the edge of the pizza and only 2 eggs. Industrial ice cream with no taste. Finally we wanted to pay our bill separately and the restaurant declined in a non-friendly and not smiling way. Disappointed with this restaurant despite the good reviews that we read.

This is the second restaurant our hotel recommended and its another disappointment. I actually read reviews before we headed over and it seemed OK, nothing special but good quality. The reality however was very different. We saw a wood fired pizza oven in the back so assumed the pizza must be phenomenal but we were wrong. The dough tasted defrosted... More

After a long flight to Rome we wanted someplace simple, casual, inexpensive and close to the hotel for dinner before crashing for the night. Pizza was what we were looking for and we just happened to pop into this place and couldn't have been more pleased. It was exactly what we were looking for. At 7:30 on a Weds. evening... More

I went for dinner to try local recipes. I ate "Tonnarelli cacio e pepe", a set of bruschette and a spectacular tiramisù, and was absolutely not disappointed. The food at Tettarello is good, the service fast and kind. I would consider the prices in line with what you get, in general not expensive. You definitely get a flavour of a... More

We found this restaurant by chance! Situated in Via dei Capocci, it's the place to be to have pizza! The restaurant does not only serve pizza; it offers a variety of other dishes, such as pasta, which are well-portioned! The pizza base is soft and tender. It was delicious from the first to the last bite! Although the pizza is... More

The food was good, but surprisingly the service was below average. When some food arrived to the table the other ones had already finished the meal. La piece de la resistance, charging for 4€ as service fee for amounts below 20 euros per person. After three meals (five people each) we are not coming back. Welcome to Italy!

Pasta are really good and cheap! 8€ for Carbonara. Medium portion but really tasty. I highly recommend tiramisu for desert. Delicious! Poor service but the food make up for it.
