Came here on Saturday night, sat outside and it was lovely! Staff are very nice and food is great! I ordered the pasta with cheese and pepper sauce and the portion is quite big (I've included a picture) food was served quickly as well.

We found this restaurant as we were exploring the streets around our hotel and what a great little find. A traditional Italian interior with great decor and wall art, superb furnishings and plenty of seating options both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling streets around this restaurant. We were here relatively late at night and were looking... More

Stopped here to eat on a whim while walking down the street searching for a gelateria that was recommended to us. While the service was not fast it was certainly friendly. And the food more than made up for that! My partner and I ordered the beef and artichoke lasagnes and they were both out of this world. The best... More

The food is amazing! First night in Rome and I had this, it was very hard for the rest of my Italy trip to compare to this pasta. It was a mushroom ravioli. So tasty. Service was slow, but we were relaxing outside with wine so no rush. Pizza was tasty as well, and the tiramisu is good, too. Love... More

We ate outside on a beautifully clear Sunday afternoon. The pasta dishes were very good, as were the mixed salad and the artichoke Roman style. The house white wine was not worth the money, and the carafe appeared not to have been washed for quite some time. The service was casual verging on sloppy.

I first ate at this restaurant back in 2009 as a recommendation from reception at the hotel I was staying at. I have since returned to Rome three other times over the past several years, and always make it a point to stop in here for a meal at least once, if not more, each trip. My husband and I... More

Visited as near our hotel, nice restaurant which seems family run. Food was good however our vegetables were ordered and written down but forgotten, we were offered them when plates were cleared but as we were finished we did not want them. House Wine was good and we did get offered limoncello at the end of the meal. We skipped... More

Visited based on our hotel's recommendation. Authentic and simple feel to the place. Friendly and attentive service. Very reasonably priced considering the portion sizes! I had to take half of my pizza home in a box as it was simply too large to eat in one sitting! Both courses ordered were delicious. The offering of limoncello at the end of... More

This fabulous little gem was just around the corner from our hotel, so we had our final evening meal here. So glad we did, excellent service, warm and friendly and excellent quality of food for very reasonable City centre prices. Highly recommend

We had stopped a local guy to ask for directions. He pointed us to our hotel and also recommended a pizzeria that was nearby for dinner. Since a local recommended it, we definitely had to try it. We are SO happy we did. It's a cute little shop where I believe the owners also help serve. We are there our... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
