Last night in Rome, and some friends and I were told by my concierge to try this place, near our hotel. I had been eating "authentic" Italian for 13 days in a row so expected the same stuff. I was blown away. My friend ordered...More

I've eaten here several times as I stay at a hotel opposite. Every dish I've had has been superb and served with unique accompaniments eg grilled calamari with white bean purée and chard. I can highly recommend the pork, lamb and other amazing dishes offered....More

Jet lagged and this was next to the hotel. Ordered a very pleasant Chianti for €18. The bruschetta was excellent for the price. The olive tapenade stood out. Pasta was above average.

We ate here as it was close to where we were staying and the reviews looked OK. The ambience of the restaurant inside wasn't right - lighting too bright and the furniture was uncomfortable. There were a couple of Italian families seated next to us...More

Off the beaten path with good portions of reasonably priced pasta and salad, nice wine list, steady stream of local and tourist patrons. Friendly service, English spoken.

A pretty Trattoria right next to our hotel. The staff were okay with us. We couldn't afford the dearer stuff on the menu so we each ordered a variation on carbonara. The portions were small, mine wasn't hot (although to be fair the others were)...More

The restaurant was close to our hotel, so we ended up there out of convenience. Turned out to be a lovely little restaurant with great service. It seems that often at the cafes and trattorias, wait staff is just tired of all the tourists and...More

Food was average for the price. Better value available locally. Service ok - friendly but also ordinary. Location is great - close to Termini and lots of hotels.

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only
way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The
Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas
in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s
famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to
its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub,
Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot
vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
