We came here in the midst of a fish and chips craving. The bar itself is packed and it's hard to find a seat. The beer selection is decent, and prices matched what I expected for Rome. I was disappointed in the fish and chips,...More

My dad and I called in for a quick pint and to rest our weary feet. What an excellent find - superb tasty and plentiful nachos (we were stuffed after sharing a dish) €12.50. Good value I feel. Lovely homely pub - recommended.

usually love Irish pubs and this one has a lovely setting but the prices are expensive. the price for wine and the amount you get (small!) is ridiculous. you can't even ask for a large. beer around €7.50/8 which is high end. It's a shame...More

A quintessential Irish bar in the heart of Rome. You will think you've been transported to Dublin or Belfast. With traditional booths and authentic decor. The selection of beers, stout and ales are what you would expect in these cities. A great, simple, quality menu...More

With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a
five-minute walk of each other, the
Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and
most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful
throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art
galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighbourhood
museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the
streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa

Situated in the very heart of beautiful Rome beside the impressive Piazza Venezia, Scholars Lounge can boast to be the most famous bar not only in Rome but in Italy itself. Opened back in September 2005 the establishment has become a highlight in the entertainment of the Eternal City. The Largest of Rome’s Irish bars, Scholars is now also Italy’s most successful. This is due to numerous factors including it’s warm welcoming Irish staff, superb location, delious food (served seven days a week till midnight), weekly gigs (also some of which are flown over from Ireland – The Wolfe Tones played in September 2015 and The Fureys are due to play in 2017 just to mention but a few), karaoke sessions 3 times a week, pub quizzes and sporting events which are shown live on the bars 24 screens with surround sound. This is a story of an extremely impressive, unique and highly successful Irish pub that keeps improving and keeps giving locals and visitors to Rome a genuine Irish pub experience.
