We came here on a recommendation and I am so glad we managed to get in. We started in the truffle tasting room which was lovely and a soft sell on their products but all very well priced. At the restaurant the staff were attentive without being overbearing and explained everything. The food was amazing...I haven't given an excellent in... More

Our party sampled the Roman, Land, and Black Truffle tasting menus with wine pairings. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. The atmosphere was very nice. I highly recommend Ad Hoc for a nice dinner.

My family of 6 each had a tasting menu with wine pairings. The Roman, Truffle, Seafood and Land were all good and wine pairings well done. They started us of with a complimentary prosecco. The deserts were very good. The pace was leisurely about 3 hours. A must do meal in a pleasant atmosphere.

As mentioned in other reviews, plates came out cold (or not warm), plating was strange (to the point of unappetizing), wine was pre-poured (!!!), and there were repeats of proteins throughout the three tasting menus we tried at our table. Given the reputation, I expected much better on all levels. I would skip this location and try another restaurant instead!

We arrived without a reservation and we were accommodated without fuss, which is quite unusual in Rome. The food was exquisite and we felt like valued guests. The olive oil served with bread is truly outstanding - the best olive oil on a 3 week trip to Italy. Wonderful wine list. I LOVED the ravioli with artichoke cream...divine.

Ad Hoc was recommended to us by my brother-in-law for it's food and ambience. My husband and I were impressed with both. However what exceeded all our expectations, and what made our dinner incredibly special, was the service. We booked a table for our anniversary dinner during a long weekend to Rome. When booking, we were offered a complimentary truffle... More

We were in Rome on holiday in May of this year and had dinner at Ad Hoc a chic restaurant on the Via Ripetta. With reservations for 7:30, we were requested to arrive for a truffle and champagne testing at 7:00 pm at a nearby shop owned by the restaurant. The truffle tasting was in an elegant basement surrounded by... More

Based on Trip Advisor reviews we booked online for a dinner for two during a long weekend in Rome - and we will never regret. After the online booking we received invitation for a tasting in their special store close to the restaurant prior to the dinner. It was a nice tasting of truffles incl. an aperitf. In the restaurant... More

Friendly, welcoming staff. Nicely designed restaurant. Superb wine list. Quiet atmosphere. Food presentation beautiful. So what went wrong......the food was just average and lukewarm. I thought there would be some kind of dress code but I guess there is no such thing these days! Then waited a very long time for the check.

Let me start with the positives. The wine list is fantastic all regions of Italy are represented and many level price points will satisfy any oenophile. The food presentation is nice, but was lacking in taste and my food was not hot. My fiore di zucca was cold, beef tartare tasteless, homemade spaghetti with duck ragout cold, gnocchi dish ok. A pork...
