Stumbled upon this wandering around a mall neighborhood behind the Coliseum. Waiter, Pietro, welcomed us in. He was gregarious but not overbearing, offering suggestions for both food and wine. All the food was prepared to perfection. Gnocchi, w basil and tomatoes as light as feather,...More

Nice little spot for lunch or dinner, a stones throw from the colosseum. Great ingredients are obviously used to produce fantastic pasta, will return given the slightest opportunity.

The first positive aspect was when we were inspecting the menu outside the restaurant. No hassling or hard sell from the waiter, just a charming smile and then he left us to it. The menu soon inspired confidence. It is not huge, which is often...More

We were looking for a restaurant close to our hotel (Lancelot) and after being unable to get a table at a well-reviewed restaurant, we set out to Il Bocconcino. The service was not great, the wine list short, but the food was very good and...More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. It was our first meal in Rome. As the hotel had recommended it, I was a bit dubious though, BUT........ It was a delightful suprise. When I look at alot of the other reviews of this restaurant,...More
