Place recommended by a Roman friend who used to live in this neighbourhood. The pizza was nice, the staff friendly and it was full (always a good sign). The place is quite typical and nice. I can recommend it!

On our guided tour around Rome, our guide took us to this nice place. We had pizzas, which were really nice. Thin crispy dough and with lots of toping. Good and quick service and a very nice wine on the glass. And not so expensive either. Fairly close to Colosseum and Forum Romanum

Poor poor and poor. Strongly recommended to avoid. We ordered mushrooms in olive oil as antipasti (terrible it came cold and full of a white sauce), lasagna is the worst dish I have had in Italy. Beer was cold and perfect (guess what it was bottled!) and pizza was good. Overall avoid it see also photos of cold mushrooms and... More

A pretty small pizzeria off the main road, the Alle Carrette has great pizza, wine and is great value. We got here early and by the time we left the place was packed, even off-season.

We happened to find this place just walking down a street and it did not disappoint. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They have a few Belgian Beers on tap and some good local craft beers. The owner, in an attempt to keep a street vendor out, offered the man a free pizza, which ensued hilarity when the man... More

Tucked away off a side street it was too popular to get one of the tables outside but plenty of seating inside. Extensive pizza selection. Server spoke enough English that we were understood and could order comfortably. Plenty of toppings on pizza with beautiful thin cooked crust. Kids didn't like the ham but all the other toppings went down well.... More

Visited for dinner one evening with family. Busy restaurant with many locals. We ordered pizza and it was one of the best we've had. Good and pleasant service. Good value for money, including the house wine. We are vegetarian and we did not leave hungry!

My family and I were craving good pizza after failing to find any time and time again, and my father found Alle Carrette. We went in with high expectation and they were greatly surpassed! It was wonderful since it happened to be an abnormally cold day and we were delivered piping hot pizzas of top notch quality. We started with... More

If you want to avoid tourist traps, I would highly recommend this place. It's cozy, authentic and frequented by locals. The pizzas are to die for and the lasagna is really tasty. Very quick service and great prices. 5min walk from the Colosseum, in an unassuming, quiet pedestrian street.

Very busy and that makes for impersonal service but great for pizza and a drink. Very fair price for a Roman restaurant and offer freshly made gluten free pizza! Definitely worth going for lunch.
