We had a fantastic meal here. I had the green risotto and cacia e pepe. The risotto was unlike any I've ever had and was delicious. The service was very friendly and the prices very reasonable.

We revisited this restaurant 7 years prior and it is still our favorite local style food. The atmosphere is so interesting and story of a theater which lies beneath the caved walls. The service is friendly and offer suggestions for their house specialties (definitely fried zucchini and artichoke blossoms), we had Chianti as our wine choice, just perfect with a... More

We went on the recommendation our hotel. The staff was wonderful. Friendly and helpful with recommendations and suggestions. Every dish was absolutely delicious. I was looking for typical Roman fare and was not disappointed. We shared some fantastic pasta with truffles, then my husband had the veal saltimbocca and I had the Roman tripe (a special that night). We shared... More

This place was yet another recommendation from our hotel and, though fairly difficult to find, was certainly worth the hunt! Friendly staff (who pointed out to my husband that a Florentine steak would be too big for him - it would have been too, when we saw one) and lovely food. A fascinating building that appeared hewn out of the... More

My brothers friend lives in Rome and recommended Costanza. And so my last meal in Rome was the best meal. Fried zucchini blossoms and artichoke delightful but it was the pork, maialino da latte that made this a memorable meal. This a place for the locals located in the intimate Piazza del Paradiso. The dining room has wonderful atmosphere steeped... More

First night in Rome, since I was here 30 years ago, and so I must reign in my enthusiasm a little. A little bit pricy perhaps (still need to figure out what an average price is here), but given the quality of the house wine, and that they are pretty much giving it away, it evens up quite nicely. I... More

My partner and I visited the Hostaria Costanza on our last night in Rome. We found the food to be the best we tasted in all the restaurants we went to. The wine was delicious and very reasonably priced. Our only criticism would be that the service was slow, however, the waiters were really friendly.

This is our favorite place in Rome: a well-kept secret among locals, who flock to it every night. The only tourists who come here are brought by local Romans, proud of its authentic kitchen and great service. We were once brought here by a Roman friend, who introduced us to this charming cellar-like Osteria and its amazing kitchen. This is... More

Enjoyed a delicious and romantic meal at this restaurant. Especially neat to eat here because it is build into the historical ruins of the Pompeo Theatre which is still unexcavated below ground. We ordered the prosciutto/melon as appetizer, bolognase as primi, roast pig for secondi and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was delicious and did not disappoint! Service was great, both... More

This was recommended to us so we came for supper. It provides a typical Rome menu with a good local Lazio wine as the house wine. Both the food and the service were very good. It is in a historic vaulted building where the old brick is shown to great effect.
