We chose this restaurant by chance and had a most enjoyable meal. It is somewhat old-fashioned but in a cultured way, and this extends to the staff who were charming. The owner/manager suggested some freshly cooked artichokes and sea-bass - delicious, and the tiramisu was awesome.

We found this restaurant on trip advisor and were very pleasantly surprised. It isn't so much restaurant dining as being treated as a real guest. The food was excellent and prepared to order. They make their own bread and our hosts talked us through the menu and what was in the various dishes. There's a good variety to chose from,... More

This trattoria features local dishes, of which everything is made in house, including the pasta, breads and ham. If you want to take a taste of authentic Rome food in a relaxing atmosphere, this is the place to be. It should be noted that most of the people eating in this restaurant are locals.

It is hard to pick the best meal we had in Rome but I would have to pick this. The woman who served us seemed like the owner and she was lovely. We had two pasta dishes, one with shrimp and the other a carbonara, veal saltimbocca, a salad, and a tiramisu, all were so fresh and tasted wonderful. Wish... More

Our hotel was close this amazing restaurant. Service was great, love the appetizer ( bruscheta, tomato and olive oil) I asked for a Seafood Risotto, I ate everything and I am a very picky person, portions are moderate , My husband ate pasta with bacon, also delicious, and the end we asked for a tiramisu. Is home made and was... More

Ate here on 20th April 2016 and absolutely loved everything about the experience. First impressions when you enter are that it is a very traditional Italian restaurant with a touch of class. That said the greeting from Sezer was warm and friendly and he proved to be knowledgeable of the food on the menu - helping us choose our food.... More

We visited this restaurant after finding it on trip advisor, the reviews looked great so we thought we'd give it a try. It's a truly beautiful restaurant, quaint and intimate with beautiful tradition decor. The staff are super friendly although I wasn't sure quite how much got lost in translation during conversations. Had I not been pregnant so unable to... More

We are staying near and came for an evening meal. Everything was lovely. The lady took my coat when we arrived, and both of the ladies who served us were so kind and welcoming. The food was gorgeous. We had 3 courses and each one was delicious. We will definitely come again next time we visit Rome. Thank you

The restaurant opened in 1935 as a typical Roman general store licensed to sell and also to supply food and drink; tables were available for clients to eat their meals made with products either bought in store or brought from home. Housed in a period building of King Umberto I (1885), a few steps from the Roman gate at Porta Pia, today TRATTORIA CORIOLANO continues to be the favourite meeting place for lovers of both tradition and good food. A welcoming atmosphere, a warm and homely environment, a scent of wood which colours the walls chestnut brown; wood panelling, pictures and various memorabilia, a blend of tastes past and present.Seasonal products, homemade delicacies. Roman traditions are followed and contemporary dishes are offered together with the best specialities of Roman cooking.TRATTORIA CORIOLANO, an historic place abreast of the times, that remembers its origins.
