Just arrived to Rome and after some shopping this is our first dinner in town. The place was under renovation so sitting was only outside. The surrounding is nice. Flowers all over the place. Quiet part of the street. Services started very slow. Had to actually walk to them to ask them to attend our table - there are just... More

After a disastrous first night in Rome eating at the Life. Our concierge recommended this place to us and it was a home run. From our waiter, to our seating, to the food. Everything we had was great! At the end of the meal the owner Antonio came over to the table and took us around his restaurant and hotel.... More

We booked a table in advance and got one in their back room that smelled either like old cheese or a wet rag. Opted for the terrace instead. House white is totally tasteless, and they know that! The food is good, but nothing special, cafe style. Between Spagna and Trevi, they must be getting a lot of tourists. So this... More

We were referred to this restaurant by our hotel concierge and I wasn't sure how good it would be. It was the best! The food was really fresh and delicious while the service was amazing! The wine was good and our server, Ramona was just amazing!!! Ask for her, she was just so sweet, and treated us like family. Definitely... More

Dinner while on a short trip to Rome. Recommendation from the hotel concierge. It was fine - well executed, tourist-focussed fare. Nothing disappointed but, with the exception of the tiramisu which was excellent, nothing fabulous. Safe option while in Rome.

Our first night in Rome the concierge of our hotel recommended this restaurant. We were looking for something casual and not to expensive. This was the perfect spot for us weary from travel. The food was very good and they had a wide range of choices. My wife had lasagne and I had the carbonara both were excellent. The service... More

Authentic italian restaurant providing local staff and local manager. Hidden localation although just 300 meters away from the Trevi Fountain. Food is good and the service friendly. Small terrace outside protected by hedge. Good wines and fair prices.

We were sent here by our Hotel Doorman. It's apparently a restaurant that is part of a multi-generational dynasty. We sat on a footpath table by some beautiful hedges surrounding the restaurant and under the vibe covered walls. It was a beautiful place to be for the evening. I had the cheese and pepper spaghetti to start, which was a... More

The desk clerk at our hotel recommended this restaurant, and we were not disappointed. As others have said, it is not particularly fancy- but good, basic, traditional food. We would have gone back, but there were so many other restaurants to choose from.

Description
Antonio Camponeschi, is originally from the province of Rieti, Cittareale, with a passion for the traditional cuisine of genuine flavors, for forty years is the soul of this place, who runs with his family with blunt style and quality care.

The restaurant is on the historic center of Rome, a few steps from the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, the local 800 retains its charm. The architecture of the neighborhood opens to a small square, where on summer evenings you eat by candlelight; inside wooden beams, arch ceilings, a period fireplace for cooler evenings and curiosity that gives a touch of atmosphere, a bathroom of 600 in sight!

Our kitchen is 'dedicated to lovers of Roman and Lazio culinary tradition, the lost flavors of the past, the chef puts on the simple dishes full of fantasy. A kitchen away from the big elaboration, made substantially of local products, and the fragrance of herbs, olive oil and bacon.

Speciality: A triumph of vegetables, including artichokes and Puntar elle. Among the main courses, alternating tasty soups like bean soup, the typical bucatini amatriciana, ravioli, fettuccine and gnocchi of sweet potatoes, all homemade. And then frying of fish fish; and yet, for meat, the lamb chops and chicken romana. In pastry, the prince is an unforgettable tiramisu all of own production.

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
