My husband and I weren't expecting a ton from the little joint, but we were pleasantly surprised. They have a ton of different items that encompass all kinds of dietary needs. Their caponata and zucchini and rice salads are the BOMB. Super cheap, too. Better than many small restaurants in the area.

Arancini are traditional sicilian fried rice balls stuffed with whatever you can imagine. Ragù arancini are stuffed with minced meat, tomato sauce and peas. It became my main food source for a week. At 2.5€ a piece, I got a fantastic deal for a quick tasty traditional meal. The place is very basic, no fuss given or taken, but it's... More

We have visited after a long day in the vatican museum. Nice, low key place for a snack/lunch. Lots to choose from friendly staff.

A filling and dense big fried ball of rice with filling inside! I call this a snack since we ate so many things each day in Rome, but definitely it has the calories for an entire meal. There are plenty of different options for fillings, and they had some other options as well, but the star are the arancini. Even... More

This place is great for a quick lunch or snack on the go while shopping in Via Cola di Rienzo. I love their "arancini" and pizza a taglio is not bad either. Next door a great Gelateria!

Nice place to grab a quick, tasty, cheap and big enough (!) snack! Not a place to have lunch or dinner though, since it has a few sitting tables. Should visit if hungry during sight seeing and don't want to waste time sitting at a restaurant..

We tried two arancini, salmon and ragu and they were nothing special. We also ate pizza and it was dry. Pistacio desert was ok

Everything is outstanding: salted, sweet, ice cream and "granite"! Arancina is a must,but you can't miss an ice cream or a cannolo siciliano! A place to try many times!

This is rich. Am used to have arancini as finger food you know, a bite. Their version is heavy, rich, getting one made my meal. 2.50 euros pretty fair price, pizza was good, pay by the weight (!) but real bread pizza. Nice snack option I'll say and yo uhave plenty around;

We visited Mondo Arancina each and every day we were in Rome. I love arancini, but they are a pain to make, and these are every bit as good as home made. We discovered it on line when my nephew was devastated to learn that it might be difficult to find arancini in Rome - what luck that it was... More

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
