This place was recommended to me by a friend who visits Italy regularly. They told us to try the pasta carbonara. It was really good. Every time we visit Rome, we stop here. You should try it.

We've eaten here for over 25 years, and we continue to love the place. We prefer to eat inside, although the outside tables are nice...but cramped. Abruzzi has great fish (I love their sea bass), pastas (my wife loves their green noodles with salmon) and the rest of our party loves most everything else. It's a welcoming place as well.... More

I consider it a duty to warn people to stay away from this place. The joke they bought to the table cant be called food. Without a shadow of a doubt the worst thing i have ever tried to eat. Nobody at our table managed more than a couple of bites and all four of us ordered something different. Disgusting

This was the third time we've been to Abruzzi. I've been there twice before with my wife and had a great experience. Appetizer buffet is fantastic. Carbonara is some of the best in Rome. Waiters were a delight and had fun joking with us. Complimentary after dinner drinks were a surprise. On the third visit we were with a tour... More

Abruzzi has maintained its old fashioned interior, but the food and the service are up to date. The buffet of antipasti at €8.50 is an amazing meal in itself, but leave room for the pasta or main courses. All the dishes are top quality and the waiter is ready to give good advice. You will invariably see members of the... More

We went in this place as it was on our way. Interior is very worn-out and outdated. Service was fine. Carbonara pasta is perfect. Straccetela soup - not that good. Dinner for two with wine - 50 EUR.

We were looking for a good Carbonara and Abruzzi came up on a Trip Advisor search. It took a little bit of finding down a narrow street close to the Piazza Venetia but it was well worth the search. Old fashioned and authentic feeling Italian restaurant right in the heart of Rome. Whilst I was looking at the menu my... More

For 8€ the Primo buffet was excellent and a brilliant way to start a lazy lunch here. Some have described this restaurant as dated in its decor; I've found Italy to be one of the hardest places to judge a book by its cover when it comes to eateries. The waiter was familiar but not in an annoying way and... More

This was recommended by staff at the hotel, from the outside it did not look great, the decor inside was dated. The food was good I would say the potions were small in comparison to the other restaurants that we visited during our stay in Rome The staff were polite and helpful. We felt that more could have been done... More

Had a meal here the other night. Varied options on the menu from starters to pizzas, meat or fish. As for starters if one does not wish for something from they menu there is a small buffet table where one can fill ones plate. The staff were helpful and polite and the service was good. The restaurant was not that... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
