Family run ristorante (lunch and dinner)/ pizzeria (dinner only) in a small lane off a side street in Trastevere. Simple but superb. They serve the best pizza we have had since visiting Varese in the 1980s. Choose anything on the menu and you won't be...More

Dorina and her team have been making the same delicious dishes for years and know exactly what they're doing. Really consistent menu with a fairly wide range of dishes which suit most appetites/moods. Expect less of the modern flair and more of the traditional quality...More

We visited on four separate occasions spaced out over two different visits to Rome a year apart. The atmosphere is relaxed (there's a TV set to mute inside) and the service friendly and prompt. The food is beautiful - flavoursome and cooked to perfection. Suitable...More

Best arrabiata sauce anywhere! Spaghetti alla frutta di mare is also spectacular. But save room for dessert and hope they have torta di ricotta. If they don't, the tiramisu will still knock your socks off.

Monteverde
Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is
Rome’s popular "getaway" neighbourhood, coveted for
its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa

enough away from the centre to feel like you’re on a
Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of
Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of
