We were headed here based on T.A. reviews. As we were about to cross the street, a man from the neighborhood pointed us to it, said we should go there and that he was too. As we walked in, another local said "Good choice." And indeed it was. Other reviews have described it accurately. No menu. Lovely hostess asked which... More

This place is a mix between a french bistrot and the kitchen of my grandma: the boss is the man, his wife is in the kitchen and the daughter takes your order. The price for a complete luch is around 15 euro per person and it includes first, second course and side dish. I don't know if the wine is... More

A hearty home cooked meal in a tiny eight table dining room, with effectively no menu – just “pasta o zuppa?” and “bianco o rosso?” and a choice of four meat mains. So inexpensive we spent almost as much on cabs to get to and from the restaurant as we did on our meal. We were clearly dining with neighborhood... More

This place has very simple but delicious food, but overall the price of 12.50 eur is more than it should be. Similar places in lower town area will be cheaper. There is also no aircon so basically if it is a hot day you wont have a pleasant experience. The food is made by an indian cook managed by donna... More

I was the first diner at about 7:45 and treated to a charming set of interactions with the family. I speak a few words of Italian & no Neapolitan, so figuring out what to order with no printed menu was half the fun. For 12 euros I got a bottle of basic red wine, two courses and the chance to... Came here for lunch on a Saturday. Having read the great reviews, my boyfriend and I were curious to try it out. The place is tiny and the tables and chairs are tightly close to each other, making it a little uncomfortable. To the extent of almost be rubbing elbows with the person at the next table. Staff were friendly... More

This is a minuscule place in Vomero, near Certosa San Martino. They have nine small tables arranged like a jigsaw puzzle. The food is basic and cheap but delicious. This is definitely a place for locals. It is like eating at home. The whole family is involved in the kitchen or serving at tables. We had salsiccia (sausage), fritto di... More

We went here based on reviews to be given a bowl of less than average pasta..when 2 italian customers arrived they were offered a choice of sausage with flageolet beans (which looked delicious) and the other guy some sort of lentil stew..which again looked more appetising than what we had. I think because we were tourists they thought they could... More

For starter we got some pasta with some kind of "left over" onion soup over it. Very basic and not very good. Main course was two ill tasting big meatballs. The vegetables were good. Service was friendly and family style. No menu and no prices. We paid 33 euros for 3 starters, two main courses and one piece of cake,... More
