I chose good and not excellent or average as elements of the restaurant are excellent however some, unfortunately, are average.
Firstly the service is excellent, we could not fault this at all, they really do tend to all of your needs and go above and beyond.
Secondly the view is amazing. We did have an evening meal which doesn’t really do it justice so I suggest going for a lunch or sunset to maximise the venue.
Thirdly, the food, unfortunately is average. I had the sea bass and my wife had the veal, we shared an eggplant parmigiana for starter. The actual meat was good (although a little dry), it was what it is was accompanied by that wasn’t great. I wasn’t sure whether they had burnt the broccoli in my wife’s veal dish or overdone some of the spices but the taste was off. In my own dish the sea bass was good, however the potato mash it came with wasn’t great. The parmigiana was the best of them all so I recommend getting this. The bread was very hard also, we went to another Italian on the following evening and it really did show how Italian bread should be.
Lastly, the bill. For what we got it was very expensive, for the above food plus a bottle of wine (€30) came out at €120. I understand Capri is expensive but if I pay a good amount for a meal I expect it to leave feeling satisfied.

We celebrated my partner’s birthday at La Palette and we couldn’t ask for a better set up for a romantic dinner. I will start with the lovely waitress Daniella who was super professional, charming, friendly and helpful - explaining about the menu, stories behind the dishes and even provided tips for things to do in Capri. Food was great! Very unique menu. Desserts are divine. View in spectacular. Highly recommend!

Been there for a dinner with friends, we have been warmly welcomed by the staff and I immediately felt in love with the amazing view (recommended for couples)! We ordered seafood, crudités as starters were amazing , the main dish was traditionally pasta: paccheri with ricciola were very good as well. we asked to the staff for the wine to choose and their suggestion was a good match with the food we ate. Prices are in line with the average of good quality restaurants in Capri.

We were looking for a place to dine for a special birthday evening in Capri. We were attracted by the nice view the restaurant boosted. Walked in, in the morning and asked the attendant to book a table for that same evening. I have emphasized that for this special occasion we wanted a table with a nice view, however the girl replied that the restaurant did not accept specific table reservations but in first come first serve basis.
When we arrived tables with a view were all taken, we asked the attendant that when a table is free we would like to be move to a a vantage view. However we were ignored multiple times. People walked in and gave them tables which we asked for, and their reply was that its because they booked that specific table. Needless to say we were treated bad and ignored, the supervisor seemed very annoyed with our complaint. We were really offended and ending up spending a hefty price on a meal which we did not enjoy. Wont be back. Birthday ruined.

We came upon this restaurant on a day trip to Capri. Despite being late in the day the staff were very welcoming and attentive. Our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable and recommended our primi and secondi, which were delicious. The chef even produced an off menu dish for our picky daughter who is not a fan of seafood. A thoroughly enjoyable meal and would certainly recommend this restaurant when visiting Capri.

Staff was very welcoming and kind. However, I feel I must write a review of the food that was overall poor quality and I couldn't eat more than one bite of the fish entree. I'm now reading other reviews from May 2023 and finding similar complaints. I'm disappointed in the high cost we payed and I wish I said something in the moment as the Amberjack fish and the seafood pasta my husband ordered was not good. The pasta was very fishy and my husband loves sardines but didn't not enjoy the dish. The amberjack fish was extremely dry and fishy and brown. I had just had this type of fish two nights prior (elsewhere) and it was a mild white fish so knowing this I was concerned in the quality I was served at la palette.

Wow! Stunning views, attentive staff and delicious food. This is a must visit for dinner! We loved that La Palette was off the beaten path - giving us an opportunity to see parts of Capri we hadn't seen as we walked there. From the moment we were greeted, we loved this restaurant. The waiters took their time explaining their favorite choices, they timed out the delivery of our food perfectly and checked in without being intrusive. Plus this had the most incredible views and our favorite meal. The eggplant parmigiana is a can't miss. This is coming from my husband who will do anything to not eat vegetables! Highly recommend getting dinner here!

This place is 15 minutes walk outside Capri centrum but worth the walk. Nice view over the sea. Small and lovely place with great food. If you pay Capri prices, you better do it here as the food is really good and the people are very nice. The tuna tartar was absolutely fresh and great, and my veal cheeks were delicious. Great wine list. We had a Tignanello 2016 for 120 Euro's which is a fair price. Highly recommended.

We went for lunch and booked ahead although the restaurant was not full. The walk is a little long and steep in places but worth it for the view. Service was welcoming and helpful and really without fault. We were recommended a really good bottle of reasonably priced white wine from a vineyard based on Capri which was excellent. Starters of stuffed courgette flower and grilled octopus were lovely but the highlight was a dessert of Limone di Capri. Unfortunately the mains were a little lacking and the only reason this review does not merit five stars. Tempura cod was underdone. Both it and the amberjack were rather disappointing for the price.

I have a hard time writing this since the staff was so nice. Unfortunately the food was a big miss. The tuna tartare with mangos was inedible. Coming from the states, tuna is usually a vibrant red color with no fish taste at all, however, this was pink and tasted like cat food.
The pasta dishes were okay.
The “breaded amberjack” was also extremely fishy and honestly inedible. Again, the waitstaff was very nice, however this was one of the worst meals I have had in all of Italy.

The best meal we had in 2 weeks in Italy. Delicious food, generous portions, very friendly and attentive staff, incredible view and a very reasonable price considering the quality of food and service. They even have a small comb to sweep crumbs off the table between courses. Highly recommended!

Couldn’t be happier with our experience at La Palette. Fabulous meal, fabulous view, and the staff was most attentive. We really liked the ambiance — the music was nice and the decorations were chic. One of our party was limited as gluten free AND vegan, and the chef made her a lovely meal that wasn’t on the menu. SO accommodating, with delicious food that was presented beautifully. Highly recommend!

Words can’t describe how great our experience was because the food does all the talking. The tagliatelle tartufa was incredibly tasty, and the breaded fish was unique as it was delicious! (I wish I can remember the exact name right now). The exceptional service was the icing on the cake, with our server Luca displaying such kindness and passion for his job all throughout the night. Highly recommend 👌🏽

Amazing view, amazing food, amazing service
The service was a surprise, such attention to detail, they clearly care about what they do and both were very passionate & helpful
The food was exquisite, the Pork Cheek !!!! the dessert white chocolate & mango egg to die for
It was wonderful from start to finish & all that is very reasonably priced
The service alone makes this worth going to
The view is perfect

We just arrived in Capri for the weekend and decided to have our first dinner of the trip at La Palette - all I can say is WOW.
The view alone was incredible - we booked a table on the earlier side in hopes of catching a bit of the sunset which was perfect. The food though was FANTASTIC. Classic Caprese dishes with fresh ingredients and a bit of flair. I’m not a huge seafood pasta person but decided to try it and it did not disappoint - very light and delicate and so delicious. We ended with their homemade tiramisu and Caprese cake which I highly recommend.
Great spot and highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!!
