This restaurant was located a few minutes from our hotel in Matera. Like the rest of the buildings in Matera, this restaurant is set in a cave. The atmosphere is simple but warm. The staff was friendly and fairly helpful. It was rather crowded so we sometimes had to ask for a drink refill, etc. more than once. With the... More

Surprisingly busy restaurant but great service and fantastic food and wine. We sat quite near the door, the staff were so worried that we would be cold, no chance, it was perfect!

Very friendly & helpful service from a lovely Nigerian/Italian waitress. Cuberta (only bread & little rusks - no olives, butter or ??) = a little substandard. Lovely starter (Parma ham & melon - perfectly ripe) Main course from charcoal grill very tasty, but lamb lots of bone & fat ++ Good "homemade" ricotta cheesecake dessert. Superb "Primitiva" wine @ €20,... More

We visited this restaurant as it was just up the road from our hotel. We were the first evening guests to arrive as they opened for the evening (7pm - they all seem to eat late). Like a most of the buildings in the area, Nadi is set into a cave, and we had the choice to sit outside or... More

We were 4 adults and a child and we ordered tagliatelle, Risotto, stew and fettuccine. All of it was absolutely yum! Service was excellent. Great option for vegetarians

We went to this restaurant three years ago and it was good. Today it was terrible. The service was so slow that we were tempted to go into the kitchen and cook the food ourselves. My wife could not eat any of the pasta dish which was slimy and very badly cooked. We complained and the waiter said, 'Well, others... More

This place was very close to my hotel. I didn't look at reviews before I went in. I ordered pasta with Crunchy peppers. It was one of my favorite meals that I have had while I have been in Italy. I let the waiter suggest the pasta ! Perfect!

This place is supposed to specialize in grilled meats. I suppose thats true, but what kind of meat is it? And why do you chop it up with all the bones in it like its going into a stew. Very disappointing.

Tasteful local food in Unesco World heritage site "i Sassi" di Matera. Food is very simple but exquisite. Very affordable prices. Place built in a troglodyte cave.

Restaurant inside one of the cave buildings - charming and fun atmosphere. We had various appetizers and they were delicious. I had the fava bean puree with sautéed chicory, a local specialty and far more delicious than it sounds. Then I had some fried quid - lightly breaded and or so flavorful. Just be aware, this place does not cater... More
