Fab cocktails - I went for a vesper martini. Great wine selection, fabulous food variety to choose from. And no bad choices it seemed. Lots of home produced produce, locally sourced meat etc. Shows. Top banana. Brekky the following morning was most satisfying to say...More

Better than average pub grub - even decent restaurant standard, but a mile away from a Michelin star: inexperienced, inattentive waiters; very undercooked halibut; forgotten side dish; overcooked partridge. I can see they are almost there, but they certainly weren’t on the day we went....More

Visited the Red Lion for supper with friends and had a lovely evening. The staff, food, drinks and atmosphere were all spot on and the price was fair. We had a great time and I would recommend the Red Lion without hesitation.

Pretentious and overpriced. Overbearing and pushy waiter, food overrated. Waitress poured a sauce on my haddock without asking which tasted like cough medicine. And they have the cheek to add an outrageous 12.5% service charge. Beware. Fine dining indeed. Fine rip-off more like!!!

Me and my husband decided to spend our 18th anniversary in Wiltshire. My husband has always wanted to visit Stonehenge and as foodies, the shire boasts a number of Michelin Stars 🌟. The Red Lion has 1 Michelin Star but to be honest I’ve left...More

Outstanding! After a long flight from the US and a drive from Gatwick we arrived here. What a sight for sore eyes and tired body. The staff was friendly, helpful and engaging. The food was to die for and presented beautifully. The accommodations allowed for...More
