Okay, since the last time we went, I'd say about 6 months ago, they've changed the menu and the table layout. First the menu, as usual it's gluten free which is brilliant for Celiacs, also there are now different weights for the steaks etc , but that's fine by us as we tend to order the same things every time:... Located in the northern part of Madrid, Cuarto y Mitad is a great restaurant to enjoy good meat. The portions are sold by weight and cooked on the grill. I really enjoyed the place and plan on going back soon. Beware this is a steak house, dont expect other type of dishes.

We (two men, two women) had Sunday lunch here a couple weeks ago, starting with the potato omelette and the grilled green peppers, traditional favorites of ours. We were going to order one kilo of the beef chop (chuleton de buey) for the four of us but the waitress was skeptical and suggested we go for two kilos. We consented... More

We've been going to this restaurant for many years but we haven't been for about a year. We got a bit fed up as their service started to slip. The last time I went I found the waiters not very attentive and not really caring about the customers or the the food, although I do have to say that the... More

I went for the first time more than 20 years ago. It was one of the best places for beef in Madrid. About 4 years ago, it started to loose quality, specially in the service , but still it worth the price. I've been there more than 200 times in this 20 years. I'm not going to eat there anymore.... Far too expensive!! Yes, the meat is good, but the ambience and all the rest of the menu is BASIC-BASIC (paper tablecloth, old glasses with marks, white light...etc). I was going a lot in the past, but since they have these prices I am not going anymore. Of course if they have enough customers willing to pay it, good for... More
