I had a lovely lunch here. Excellent atmosphere, great menu, slightly surly service. The salad with marinated vegetables and ham was excellent, as was the cod. Recommended.

We'd read and also been told that this place didn't take reservations and that you had to simply turn up and be prepared to queue/wait; however, since there were six of us to seat, one of whom needed a gluten-free menu - we gave booking...More

We had our airbnb around the corner so we tried La Gloria de Montera. Well, now we know it was a mistake. The is a boring, nothing to write home about - tourist restaurant. You are in Madrid... go find a better place.

We didn't have any expectation about the restaurant. Just decided to take dinner one of the closes restaurants. The restaurant has good facilities and atmosphere. Waitress even spoke english. We had three course dinner with a bottle of wine. Marinated tuna tasted odd for me,...More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant, great choice. We shared a mixed tapa appetizer, paella, and steak kabobs with veg. A nice bottle of wine, perfect, priced right. Bring on the EDP Madrid Rock n Roll Marathon.

The restaurant is hidden in a side street, but is well worth discovering. It is popular, with a very economical lunchtime menu on working days. If you go at the weekend, make sure that you are there before 2pm because at that time the tables...More

We were walking around Mayor Square and need a place to rest our feet. This place is more crowded than others so we decided to give it a try. The draft beer in the picture was a big one. It hit the spot. Chicken club...More

Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street
performers, colorful lights, window shopping,
restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and
churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a
collection of plazas interconnected by a network of
side streets. Some of these side streets are wide
pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so
it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as
