We were in tour and was given five appertisers and two half serves of entree and a sweet at the end with a choice of red and white wines in a very good environment inside for an evening meal.

The restaurant is amazing with a labyrinth of rooms and great art on the walls. The food was nice but I would call it a bit pretentious and it did not deliver what it promised. The simpler dishes like the pea soup or the croquetas...More

Four of the Krazy Gang on the 31 B day tour. Lazy Brakfast overlooking the park and Plaza. Cafe con leche. Big/Huge Croissants Toast and marmalade for the Lady of the house. Easy like Tuesday morning. Love Madrid.

We had read about the Cafe de Oriente and decided to stop in for Sunday brunch. The tables outside were full, but the interior is nicely decorated, with an old-world feel, and the views of the plaza are lovely. However, our experience deteriorated quickly, as...More

Good location for people watching and also near a nice garden, near the royal palace. We had beers and a delicious pizza in the warm afternoon. Friendly staff.

Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street
performers, colorful lights, window shopping,
restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and
churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a
collection of plazas interconnected by a network of
side streets. Some of these side streets are wide
pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so
